Here’s some Stoke v Orient nostalgia from 1988. For those who weren’t there, or who have forgotten, It doesn’t make for pretty viewing unfortunately.

I hope both clubs be sensible and go for a tenner a pop for adults. Kids for a quid. You mean apply common sense? Good one.

Sadly the FA are unlikely to agree to that Do the FA have a say? Thought it was between the clubs? Yes they absolutely do They get a cut of the gate

Do the FA have a say? Thought it was between the clubs? Apparently up until 2017 it was set by mutual agreement by the 2 clubs. If they couldn't agree then the FA stepped in to arbitrate. Since 2017 it's solely down to the home club. They have to charge a minimum of £10 but can, if they want, charge anything from that up to their normal ticketing ceiling. The clubs still equally share 90% of the receipts with 10% going to the FA. So it looks like we could, if we wanted charge a Tenner with a quid for kids. It would of course mean Orient get less from their cut of the ticket money. I stand corrected In which case it's a no brainer This could be Scholes last decision?

There’s been at least 5/6 now. Can’t see why they wouldn’t with this? Only issue would be overcrowding trains from London maybe? But hardly likely? I can't remember any. Having said that I don't tend to look at their fixtures much. Coupled with the fact you've got 2 lots of fans travelling up from London together. Not happening. The Vile will be Friday night on the telly. Potential upset? The last time Stoke and Vale were at home on the same day was Saturday 27th November 2021. I thought I had a bad short term memory!

I know now. As I explained I don't take any notice of them in the first place in order to be able to forget it. I always thought they were away when we were at home. It's perhaps because the police don't play such a major role in football any more so they don't need to provide the numbers. I still don't think it'll happen though.

Orient will be no push-over. They’re scoring for fun at the mo. Got two of the top three goal-scorers in their league. Their goal difference is pretty impressive.

51000 in Newcastle and losing at home to Cambridge atm. A few supposedly cup shocks on the cards today Yep just saw that, impressive stuff Northers as you say. A bit like the poor old Jocks, the Geordies. Turn up in massive numbers but let down so often. Toon playing a strong side as well. Ironside with the goal , so bad a bloke in a wheelchair scored v them.

Man Utd on at home to Premier League opposition, I’m shocked and stunned. The magic of the FA Cup…… I wonder if there will be another cup upset tonight, and Man Utd beat Villa Joking apart, it's been a great 3rd round weekend, some great matches and results, and thankfully we weren't embarrassed as some were.
