Both home games on the same day. I know what you meant. I meant I can't remember an occasion.

A good draw, hopefully we'll have enough to just about nick it.

Their keeper gave us a pen by repeatedly pushing everything that moved from a corner. Did we get 2 pens in normal/Extra time time and miss one? No idea. Only things I can remember were 1) I gave a lift to a student from Loughborough University who I never met again and 2) I counted their supporters (approx 25 from memory)

Police won't allow it mate. I suppose 2 lots of London clubs travelling up to the Potteries may put a spanner in the works but I can’t imagine Brentford taking more than 1500 to Vale.I would think Orient might turnout for this one with it being a new ground for them There’s no reason for not playing both on the Saturday mate as orient and Brentford fans are no threat to anybody and need no policing ….they would travel on the same train if one was drawn to play in Manchester etc

11 Oct 1988. Leyton Orient at home in the League Cup (already won the away leg 2-1). Managed to lose the home leg 2-1 and get knocked out on penalties 😣. Who was there ? Less than 6000 attendance Me

Was a loony. Am sure we won on the night after losing the first leg. Someone put a pen over the bar by a mile in normal time. Thought we missed 2 but might be getting mixed up with the actual shoot out.

Police won't allow it mate. There’s been at least 5/6 now. Can’t see why they wouldn’t with this? Only issue would be overcrowding trains from London maybe? But hardly likely? The issue with the same day etc is stewarding. A lot of the stewards work for both Stoke and Vale so can't attend both. We've got away with it recently as the amount of available stewards through contractors has been ok, however since covid, the number of stewards in general is approx 30% down on pre covid. Personally I feel one of the games will be moved to either Friday evening or Sunday.

25 March 1978 Orient H 5–1
Attendance 14,595 Kendall 3', Crooks 9', Gregory 20', Waddington (2) 35', 73' Boothen paddock pissed it down. Match delayed as I recall trying to mop up puddles. Best midfield performance by a maestro since Hudson at Derby.
The Sunday headline was "Muddy fine show Kendall"

Can't remember much about the side that night. If memory serves me we had a rather portly Peter Fox in goal. Was directly behind the pens as Boothen quite empty.

Surely we're not going to have the majesty of the entire FA Cup compressed into one unsatisfying, un-navigable megathread?

Headline was 'Cup luck for Stoke' when draw made. Yeah that worked out well 🙂🙂🙂

Sadly the FA are unlikely to agree to that Do the FA have a say? Thought it was between the clubs? FA take 20% think it is but not sure re prices. Thing is, /Orient would get a bigger cut from 12,000at normal price than say 20k at reduced prices so could see if they don't agree .

They both support Orient though, which is news to me.

Sadly the FA are unlikely to agree to that Do the FA have a say? Thought it was between the clubs? Apparently up until 2017 it was set by mutual agreement by the 2 clubs. If they couldn't agree then the FA stepped in to arbitrate. Since 2017 it's solely down to the home club. They have to charge a minimum of £10 but can, if they want, charge anything from that up to their normal ticketing ceiling. The clubs still equally share 90% of the receipts with 10% going to the FA. So it looks like we could, if we wanted charge a Tenner with a quid for kids. It would of course mean Orient get less from their cut of the ticket money.

Didn't Norman Stanley Fletcher support Orient? Bob Mills on Talksport was a fan. Fletch supported Orient but made a few Spurs references too. He did, yep. Wasn't he going to watch Orient when the gal nicked his 5er in 'Going Straight' ? He also mentions going to watch Orient in the episode where he was given passionate leave. Was on a few weeks ago. Orient had great kit in the 70s Did John Chiedoze play for them? Remember his Panini . Edit...just Googled him. Was a good player
