Can someone who pays for the Telegraph explain what the fuck this means. Kirchner promised to pay the wage bill but when things hit turbulence its alleged that Rooneys agent paid them out of his own pocket which could breach agent rules.

Whilst of course the buck does ultimately stop with them, they've put an awful lot of trust in the judgment of previous managers and a COO.

They made Scholes a director and clearly had lots of faith in him.

Kircher has posted on Twitter, first time since he was honestly, definitely wiring the monies, but not quite today. I won’t derail this thread with its contents but I’m going to guess that’s Kircher’s Twitter account burned.

That's like lobbing a fiver down your shitter then beaming with glee after you've stuffed your hand down, got the fiver back and come back up with last weeks sweetcorn all over your wrist. In footballing terms, they are appalling owners. Be honest, if a club owned by foreigners had gone from being a top 10 PL club to four consecutive bottom half Championship finishes in 6 years and had amassed hundreds of millions worth of debt people would be screaming 'fit and proper persons test' wouldn't they?

Foreign owners would of probably jumped ship though leaving all the debt with the club and possibly putting us into a worse situation. At least with the Coates you know they are willing to take hit with losing some of there cash even if some decisions have been questionable. Their heart is in the right place.

I understand that of course, but it isn't their heart we need. We need their brains or if they haven't got any to take us forward we need them to buy us some brains. It shouldn't be this hard for owners who are the 4th richest in the country.
