I've watched him the last 2 seasons every game and I can assure you that he is definitely a Premier League calibre player. He has an eye for goal, he's fast, holds the ball up well and his work ethic is incredible. He absolutely carried that Rovers team. Yes he is now Point is he looked very ordinary when he was here, absolutely no hint of the player he has become Yeah and that's completely fair to say. |

Scored a 14-minute hat-trick for Chile last night, meant to post it earlier.. …. now we are allowed to sign four overseas players without any work permit restrictions I assume you are our de facto scout for South America? Don’t want to subject you too much pressure or travel on you though, maybe just Chile 😉 I am pretty sure he is actually a Man U fan truth be known |

No World Cup for Ben, shame really, would have been the icing on an already pretty remarkable cake. Still, he’s very much seen as the figurehead of the new cohort of young Chilean players coming through to replace the “golden generation” of Bravo, Sanchez, Vidal etc. Is he fluent in Spanish/Chilean Spanish do you know, or still learning the language? |

He’s learning but I don’t think his progress has exactly been rocket-propelled. Nowhere near anything you could call fluent. It’s all his bloody mum’s fault for not speaking Spanish to him when he was a kid.. What’s quite interesting is that Ben has set something of a precedent in the Chilean squad - there are a couple of other young players selected who’ve never lived in Chile, one a Belgian lad with an Arabic-sounding name who speaks Spanish with a markedly French accent |

I think this is probably his level and if so where better for both him and us. |
