India are imploding, could be around 150 chase from 40 odd overs here, very exciting especially if NZ lose a couple of early wickets.....
EDIT 139 required from 53 overs minimum. Got to fancy the Kiwis here.....

India bowled out for 170.
New Zealand need 139 to win.
I guess this means a draw is out of the equation.
New Zealand are certainly favourites, but a tumble of wickets could change everything.
Great stuff!

Who are folk gunning for?
I’d like to see New Zealand win.
For a few reasons, one of which is I can’t stand Kohli.

The swinger for me is New Zealand being long overdue an international trophy. Otherwise, I really enjoy watching both teams equally.

New Zealand should coast this from here.
Hopefully they’ll be close to wrapping it up by the time the England vs Sri Lanka game starts.

I think the rule is the last hour starts at 5.30 so, with the England game starting at 6.30, we should avoid a clash. If this game does go to 6.30, I’m sure they’ll delay the T20 by 15 mins. But, I’m now wondering if they’ll play the overs not that last hour thing.

There are 20 overs to be bowled in the last hour, so as that started at 5:30, it is likely to be pushing 7:00 if the full 20 overs are required. It is 5:40 and there are still 18 overs and 2 balls to be bowled.

Won’t the England game just be on Sky Sports Cricket until India v NZ finishes?

I think it dates back to when bowlers could actually bowl 20 overs an hour and was to stop them bowling just 17 or 18 overs an hour. 1921 I assume. Is there a better batsman to guide a team through a difficult run chase than Kane Williamson? He just seems totally unflappable and it must be very reassuring to have him batting at the other end. New Zealand have been very impressive and thoroughly deserve their win.

Congratulations New Zealand, thoroughly deserved and the blueprint of how to play test cricket.
Onto the England T20’s now and the early signs are this won’t be a very competitive series.

Great to see Ross Taylor finally win something after about 18 unsuccessful icc tournaments.
NZ are a great side and looking like they are getting stronger year on year.
They'll be desperate to win the next World Cup in India after so much disappointment in 2015 and 2019 and you wouldn't put it past them!

I don’t think NZ have the spinners to do well in that next World Cup. Same concern for us. I suspect that is why Livingstone was given some overs yesterday as he could become a key player for us as we move forward.

Well yes, will soon come around so definitely worth getting our spinners some overs. It's got India written all over it but I don't think this India side is anything close to the side that won in 2011.

Congratulations New Zealand, thoroughly deserved and the blueprint of how to play test cricket. Onto the England T20’s now and the early signs are this won’t be a very competitive series. England are ranked #1 in T20, Sri Lanka #8. And it showed yesterday. Bit underwhelming as England strolled to an easy victory. I wonder if we’ll make some changes in our selections or positions to give more players a chance to show what they can do. For example, open the batting with Livingstone.

It's really hard to watch Sri Lanka these days. Such an unbelievably good cricketing nation but they've got nothing at the moment.
Tragic that golden era never won anything. 2011 should have been theirs!!

Morgan did say yesterday that they will be experimenting a lot more across this series so we could see a few different opening combinations. It’s an incredibly strong squad we have with not many places up for grabs. Roy, Malan and Morgan all had a disappointing series in India earlier in the year so might start to feel the pressure a bit if they don’t score any runs this series.

Sri Lanka batting first and are 26-2 after the powerplay, they have failed to hit a single boundary.
Despite the clear gulf in class between the two sides that’s a pretty abysmal effort.

Shame YJB brought his test match batting to this T20 game!
Edit... and Malan showing his place as #1 T20I batsman was never likely to last all that long.
Edit 2... well that's the regular players all gone, now to see what the (relative) youngsters can do.

Quick start by the boys 93/0 off 10. 50 for Bairstow and Malan with a good strike rate 38/24. Should be looking in excess of 200
