I think it's Verstappen's title to lose now. 12 points ahead with 5 races to go and the next two circuits should benefit the Red Bull more than Mercedes. That said one engine blow up or tyre failure could change everything. ...or a spot of rain during the last couple of laps.

Almost an exciting 2nd vs. 3rd near the end, but overall it was a bit of a dull race. Bottas hit with some bad luck at the start. Happy for Perez.

I wonder what planning goes on before the race in terms of first corner tactics. I find it hard to believe that Bottas was not told to fight Verstappen into the first corner even if that meant braking too late. I was not rocket science to know what Max was going to try and do as it was the only option available to him, so all Bottas had to do was to run a little wide which would have forced Max off the track. Whether Lewis could have ultimately kept Max behind him for the whole race is debatable, but at least it would have been a battle.

My prediction: It's going to be another boring season of stupid rules and stewards ruining the racing. Just need a decent British driver in an Aston, should've got George Russell in there. or even better have a British driver in at McLaren #LandoFan

I don’t like him but fair play to Hamilton so far today Me neither, however Verstappen is fast becoming the most objectionable twat out there. He needs bringing down a peg or two, at least Hamilton has earned the right to be up himself.

Tremendous performance by Hamilton today. Excellent win for Lewis. Mercedes sounded very upbeat for the remaining few races too, so it might still be all to play for.

Mr Geri Spice is so smarmy & contradictive it's unbelievable! Sure he'd of ordered Max to touch up Lewis rear Flap yesterday & very much doubt that Max will be expected to pay that £50k fine out himself. They should know its a big no no, you don't mess with another man's flaps!

Lewis at Silverstone that year was ridiculously good.

Best season I can remember so far Bottas has been an absolute tosser bit like a wing man knobbing the woman you’re after, as a UK sports fan ofc you want Hamilton to win. I read an article about Verstappen purchasing Richard Bransons private jet then flying other F1 drivers to venues around the F1 calendar, what a creeping leach and can’t wait for the tosser to fail.

I think it has to be the case that Hamilton is the benchmark in F1 now. Schumacher, Fangio, Senna, Clark all greats and probably on their peaks and different times and circuits would have the advantage over Hamilton. But for sheer consistency and performances when needed Hamilton would have just ground them down and got their in the end. The guy qualifies fast, good in the wet (if not the best) and deals with the pressures exceedingly well

Can't help but agree with Toto Wolff, that rulings were applied differently this weekend with respect to the 0.2mm DRS flap infringement and what looked to me like overt dirty driving by Max.

You’re right there I paid 28 grand for mine in 2017 and got offered 29 grand last month, I think cars on average lost £2/2.5 grand a year , transit vans have increased 55% in value

Probably a lot better than the Haas drivers now. Obviously he’s in a top tier car but he’s there because he can wring those extra milliseconds out of it.
