I think it will be back to death and taxes today. Last race had to be a one-off.

Not even through the first lap at Monaco -- red flag. Both Haas cars and Sergio's Red Bull out. Hard to tell if Magnussen or Perez was at fault although I'd lean toward Magnussen.

Definitely Magnussens fault for me Just watching the video of both cars, it seems Perez was definitely aware of Magnussen and did make a move to pinch him off, but Perez does have the position. Magnussen was pretty stupid here. Hulkenberg's Piastri's(?) comment of "that was unnecessary" seems to sum this up completely. Idiocy.

As a sporting spectacle that was the worst race I have ever seen deliberately going slow to back up the field to prevent Lando doing a pit stop. Best part was seeing Prince Albert getting stuck in with the champagne celebration, usually he is ushered off before the corks pop.

Had the misfortune to have to listen to this bore-fest on a long car journey home yesterday. Was it the first 8 who finished in the exact order they started ? Just a 2 hour parade of expensive vehicles, absolutely pointless. Even the commentators were bored, at one stage one of them described the deliberate slowing of the field as "intriguing" - a damning indictment of what is supposed to be a spectator sport The F1 fans I had with me who had been to the previous 7 Monaco races best defence of it was - "well we don't watch the cars much, we go for the partying" ffs... priceless!

There are some traditions that need to go away. Monaco is one of them. Qualify is more entertaining there.

They readily admit overtaking is pretty much impossible and the DRS zone is too short for anything to happen. Just needs canning from the calendar. Easier said than done I imagine

All about opinions, I went to Oulton Park for the BSB meeting a few weeks ago, luckily we had free tickets with hospitality and pit access, that was the best part of it, absolutely bored shitless and would have been gutted if I'd paid. F1 on the other hand, love it, and have been lucky to watch it live all over the world..

Easier said than done I imagine “Just needs canning from the calendar. Easier said than done I imagine.” Contract with F1 is up at the end of ‘25. (Edited) Dont tell our transfer department though. If they find there is something slow and tedious, that used to be great but is way past it now, they will probably try and sign it for our midfield.

Not watched the Monaco GP for years. Its wank. Mansell was still driving last time they put one on that was worth watching.
They'd need to make a special car nearly half the size to make it interesting again and obviously that ain't going to happen..

If Lando had pitted and kept his place, who knows, new tyres, hed have been on the leaders after about 15 laps, but once that opportunity was gone it was race over...

That would be my plan for it, engine and gearbox the same, but small car like the old days! Let everybody go wild with design and aero for it too

First 10 finished in the order they started! Absolute joke. Cars are far to big for Monaco race track, it's well outgrown it's purpose now. Glitz, Glamour & Wealth aside it needs binning off ASAP. However unfortunately in top class sport, Glitz, Glamour & Wealth is what makes the world go round so it's likely to remain 🙄😬

The early red flag at Monaco pretty much got rid of any possible excitement as it took away the one mandatory in-race pit stop.
For tracks where it's very difficult to overtake, the teams should have to run all three tyre compounds during the race - so at least two pit stops. Or add one or two mandatory stops in addition to the tyre stops based on the overtakeyness of the track. Not ideal I know but it would mean you could keep historic tracks like Monaco and add at least a touch of excitement.
