What a rubbish end to the race. How many laps under the safety car? F1 is a joke sometimes.

So you can finish a race under a safety car then ??
The sport is as bent as hell, Hamilton must be livid

It was clear that was a red flag incident and it would have given the race a potentially exciting ending. He’s got the best car and is probably the best driver but Verstappen is being handed the title on a plate

That’s fine but he’s had a right shove to make sure he does, the amount of stuff that’s gone on his favour puts me in mind of a conspiracy. You couldn’t make it up. Right place right time I guess

Fairly decent race today...battle of attrition. Six drivers out. Could be an exciting ending.

So as expected, Max has wrapped up the title but once again F1 have managed to make a mess of the rules about awarding full points when only half the race has been run. Also thought it was shocking that they had a tow truck on the track at the same time as car were going round after what happened to Bianchi on the same track in similar conditions a few years ago.

The FIA could be doing the incompetent referee trick today, by evening up the game now that Max has (fairly and deservedly this time) won the Championship.
It's a shit show either way as breaking the cost cap benefits a team more than in just one year.
The FIA is in such a state right now that even if they do something right, people will not trust their decisions.
It's also easy to blame the new guy at the top, as he has made things worse in terms of lack of transparency and downright condescending ineptitude, but the FIA have always been dodgy.

For Red Bull breaking the cost cap, Verstappen should be stripped of last year's title as a minimum IMO. Red Bull should be stripped of this season's constructors championship and be awarded a hefty fine that's taken from next season's expenditure.

Although the championship battle has been predictable, mainly due to Ferrari throwing away so many points, I think the racing has been quite entertaining this year. I like the fact that this year's cars can follow more closely than they have been able to in previous years.

One of the best races of the season this evening. It was just a shame that Hamilton couldn't hold on for the win. He really needed Leclerc to hold up Verstappen for a bit longer. Amazed that Alonso was able to keep going and finish in the points after that crash.

Amazed that Alonso was able to keep going and finish in the points after that crash. I only saw the last 20 or so laps. There was some inklings of the early season Leclerc and Verstappen back and forth, but ultimately it just seems like going through the motions at this point. When I started watching, I did noticed, unsurprisingly mind you, that Sainz was out...again. You can pretty much set your watch to it now.

I saw them called "Rigged Bull Racing" somewhere. The fine should've been taken off next season's budget, and it's less than the Championship-winning money anyway. Ridiculous.
Last season's Championship must be a contender for most rigged ever. The closest contender I can think of is when the French FIA/F1 President favoured Prost over Senna.

I watched the Netflix documentary and it’s way better than the actual sport.
F1 should have a very big problem with that being the case.
I’ve tried to watch it on the back of the documentary but it’s so dull.

I probably stopped watching when Schumacher started to win everything. It wasn’t fun to watch. So it had me then lost then regained me via the documentary. So I don’t quite fit that model sorry! Its just so predictable. There’s no spontaneity to the racing.

Horner: "I think Max did absolutely nothing wrong last year. He won the race fair and square, as a team we performed out of our skin to break the domination of one team that has dominated in the last seven years, nothing can diminish from what he did last year and that's obviously backed up again in 2022."
Erm...whether you performed out of your skin or not, you cheated to break the domination. I kind of agree on Verstappen, although there were a couple of stupid incidents on his part.

Completely lost interest in the sport after Hamilton was cheated out of the title.
Rigged sport along with countless others.
