Just watched an episode of ‘The Crown’ and have just realised that the bit of the national anthem that goes ‘na na na na na’ before ‘send her victorious...’ is not normally sung. Did anyone else know that? You're getting the national anthem mixed up with Hey Jude by the Beatles I think. |

I've got an old relative who tried abolishing the monarchy (along with a few others)in 1649. Temporarily successful. Fortunately for him he wasn't one of the individuals subsequently dug up and hung retrospectively. Couldn't get away with it today, people might complain.

You’d have to ask them, but no I think William and Kate thouroughly enjoy the ambassadorial side of it. Maybe some change will come when Liz pops her clogs but until then I look on those two and to a certain extent Charlie as good for the country. |
