Hate to say it but if means we can get a decent striker in, I'd take it. It doesn’t and we won’t

No he won’t. Be realistic. He'll play champions league football in his career 100 %. Quite possibly, but that doesn't mean that when he is only 20 or 21 he will be worth £40 million as a defender. Can you name any world defenders who were sold for £40 million aged 21?

We need to balance the books somehow.
The fact that we'll get £8 million less than we paid for Wimmer is sickening though.
And less than we paid for Afobe and Ince.
Jesus.

Any player to arsenal should be at least 2x the asking price to other teams

He's got four years left hasn't he? If it's £10M someone needs putting in prison.

Man City paid £47.5m for John Stones 4 years ago and he’s the most overrated defender ever - let that sink in

Selling the family silver for half it's value has never worked. As far back as I can remember (Greenhoff) it has been a foolish and economically pointless policy.

Nathan Collins will play champions league in 3 or 4 years time. He needs a season at centre half first though. I think he will end up at Liverpool to replace van Dyke who will go to one of the Mainland European giants

I was saying it 18 months ago when I wanted him playing semi regularly as a 17 year old. We have wasted so much time with him.

Hate to say it but if means we can get a decent striker in, I'd take it. This. However I think 20m is nearer his value with add ons. They were offering Bournemouth Vidra in part exchange for King that would be a good deal for both clubs.

Here we go on the FFP front FFP is no excuse for accepting joke offers. He’s worth 20m and selling him for a penny less would be criminal. FFP shouldn't come into this, he has a long contract and our rich owners can hold out as long as the manager wants him. If he goes it will be MON wanting to spend the cash.

Never fear Tony’s on the job personally i fancy if he’s gong to north London it’s will be to our old friend Daniel for Two bags of crisps and a couple of clueless lowness from the under 20’s and a Washed up veteran they can’t sell On a 5 year deal .

This be sad if true, I’ve never seen us or thought of us as being a selling club. We haven’t been able to sell anyone of worth (bar the exception of Butland) in the past... what?.... 10 years?
But then if it tallies with actual interest and also to the wants and wishes of the player and their agent then we have very little other options other than to create a potentially volatile situation by refusing it from happening. If inevitable, I’d hope that the very least of our efforts was to keep him on loan until the summer when we can find a replacement.

Mind you we have a history of successful player swap with Burnley Collins +’£10m for Vydra on 39k a week for 5 years would be in line with our last journey down this road with Tony at the helm of negotiations

Can't see us selling with no replacement seeing as he's keeping our only other RB out of the team. Maybe in the summer?

It’s a joke offer. If it’s Arsenal it should be minimum £20m. Don’t see why Collins would go to Burnley now. You’d hope he’ll at least wait until the summer when he’s likely to have a great deal more than the delights of Burnley to pick from.

It's a real 'click bate' headline isn't it?
Call it 'Burnley set to swoop for Collins' and no one reads it outside of Burnley, weave 'Arsenal' in to the headline and say they are about to 'miss out' on something and half the nation pays note.
Truth is if Arsenal wanted him rather than Burnley they'd get him.

Collins is a player we need to hang on to for as long as possible. My favorite player at the moment without a doubt. If we are going to hang on to him we need to be pushing for promotion next season otherwise I fear he will be sold.

It makes no financial sense. £10m in a January window or add 20 more games into him for the summer window. Or a season at CB next year he's worth £25m.
Would you sell something for £10m of you knew you could double it in a year. If he stays and we are promoted next year you can pick your figure.
It would be total madness.
