Five midfielders injured by my count Maybe Mikel or Powell could be back though? If not then Cousins,Tymon and Oakley-Booth it is Bench might be without a midfielder?
If Batth is out then either Ryan in or move Collins there with Smith back at RB.
He could perhaps go 523 maybe?

Whoever plays centre back will need to keep a very close eye on Keiffer Moore. That lad is a proper handful.

Just waiting for the injury test results after yesterday's Royal Rumble but saying that it seems whoever is selected can do their bit. Well almost anyone.

Listening to the manager I think Powell will make it Certainly hope so he makes us tick Powell had his best game of season to date yesterday for me. He is so important to us. Think Ty has been great last 2 games as well despite no goals or assists from him. 3 wins on the trot would be huge but I think it'll be a tough one on tuesday night. I fancy it will be a fairly dour draw between 2 tiring teams.

I think though not spectacular we’ve bought some of the old Stoke back this season under a great manager. There’s a pride and togetherness there that wasn’t present under Jones. It just feels like we have an ability to grind results out which is massive over a long season even when we’re hammered for injuries. The exciting thing is it still feels like we can get better too. The one thing that worries me is against faster teams like Norwich and Swansea we struggle as we do lack a little for pace in midfield and at the back.

Cousins makes a big difference in that respect I think. I agree with the rest. Look at how our players are bodies on the line blocking shots and helping each other out. That's a sign of spirit and togetherness and we've not seen it for a number of years. Its great.

A winnable game, but they are on the back of three wins.
Keep Wilson and Moore quite and we’ve a good chance.

Weren't we heavily linked with Moore before we signed Fletcher, but he was asking too much money?.

Fletcher is for me the better all round player, but 33😩. Let's enjoy him whilst we can.

I dont think we are too far off resting Ty for a bit - perhaps when Fletcher is back bench him for a couple of midweek games so he only plays 1 game a week and only use him from the bench if absolutely necessary

Can’t see any of those taken off today will be back So looks like Bursic Collins Ryan Chester Fox Tymon Cousins Campbell Oakley Booth McClean Brown I like that line-up We still have the luxury of maybe resting Campbell and playing Verlinden and also moving Collins inside for Ryan and playing Smith at RB. I doubt MON will like pushing Ryan too hard too early.

A win would the first time we have won 3 consecutive league matches since 31st October 2016. It's been a long time. Campbell missed his chances yesterday he needs to be sticking it in the back of the net. Our recent goals have been headers. It seems ages since we scored from a corner. So, Campbell to score from a shot from a corner.
