Can’t fault him really so far can we?
Looks very composed.

If we could I'd be sending Gunn back in January and keep Bursik and Davies. Then spend Gunn's wages on a striker loan. I suspect Soton wouldn't buy it though.

Very good performance tonight. Commanded his area well and the punch at the end was brilliant. He’s growing in confidence with every game and his distribution is brilliant. Well done Joe. I was worried about a number of young players coming into the team as most of us are at these times. Although shaky starts for Collins, Bursik, Souttar, Tymon and to some extent Campbell all of these players are improving all the time with Collins, Bursik and Campbell being outstanding in their progress. If we can keep these players, plus others such as Velindre, together we will have a fantastic squad that take us on to great days. Without wishing to be disrespectful these improvements are a two fingers up to those who are forever complaining about our players and in particular the younger ones. To bash the ears of players as young as 18 and those generally under 25 is disgraceful and one should think about what they maybe doing to a players confidence when they are in their formative years We have a great manager, we have an evolving squad and I'm certainly happier know than I have been since well before relegation from the Premier. We are in a great position.

Either keep Bursik as first choice or restore Davies and send Bursik back to Doncaster. He'll gain far more playing than sitting in our bench.

I'd keep him in the team unless he drops a string of Butland type clangers, I think he is already past League 1 don't see what we would gain sending him back there, experience of playing at a level below where he will ever play at is not that useful experience. He'll get more from playing in the championship.

He's currently got the shirt, so far me it's his to lose. After the first couple of games his confidence and the back four's confidence in him seem to grown. He looks to have a very good command of his box, quick off his line. Hope he keeps it up - can only see him improving. Kudos to MON for sticking with him. Could have easily put an experienced keeper in after conceding 6 in two game

He will be a top keeper... Mark my words he will go to one of the European heavyweights. Absolutely fantastic, and a great ball player which is something Butland could never do even at his peak. We've got a gem!
Knowing O'Neil, im sure he will be sent back out on loan to Doncaster of someone like that as soon as Gunn and/or Davies are back.

Another great performance tonight, won us a point for sure with a couple of great saves. I can't see him losing his place to anyone at the moment.

I'm hoping the loan bit. Terrific 1 on 1 save towards the end, no chance with the header. Standout moment for me was when he made the brave decision to come for the cross near the penalty spot, yes he dropped it but he was on it quickly. Good keeping. Keep it up Joe.

It's going to be an interesting one once all the keepers are fit!!!
He certainly doesn't deserve to be dropped on recent form that's for sure... It could only have a negative effect if O'Neil was to drop him!!!

Brilliant again, shows real composure and great decision making. If he carries on like this we have a real gem on our hands. Same trajectory as Butland at the moment, got to hope he doesn’t suffer the same crisis of confidence....

I would say he is already a league above but lad at the same age, he is holding his own in the championship and becoming one of the best in the league, 7 clean sheets out of 11. His distribution is night and day from butland, he is deffo going to the top and won’t be with us long,

I really think it won't take long before really big clubs will come knocking on the door for Bursik, I think he has been just phenomenal!

I can’t see how he can be anything else to be fair. It’s tough on Davies, but the lad has earned the shirt - no doubt about it. MON talks about merit, it’s Bursik’s shirt to lose.

I doubt he’ll be dropped immediately when Davies gets back unless the plan is to send him back on loan. If Gunn and Davies were back in training now, it may be different. He’s established himself as a viable option there and kept us in it vs Nottm Forest. I think it’s his to lose, but that he will be out of the team before the end of the season.
