Excellent performance from the youngster again topped with a layer of shithousery that had warnock losing it. What shithousery did he get up to? Missed that. Cracking performance and I'd keep him as the number one if he continues in a similar style. At the end instead of getting the ball he went and had a slow drink and ate up a minute. Rare maturity in one so young. He's got a big future!

He's clearly a very promising young keeper.
He'll have a few hickups along the way, as with any youngster, but I don't think we can be asking him to do much more at this point.
It'll be interesting to see what MON does when Davies and Gunn become available.

His handling from crosses was fantastic.

So when Davis is fit what’s your call??? I reckon Davies back to first spot but Bursik replaces Gunn as number 2. When Davies and Gunn are both fit, hopefully by January, I would send Bursik out on loan again. Davies was excellent before his injury and we're stuck with Gunn for the season so this would make sense to me.

Talk about taking your chances when they come. Playing really well. Much better then our ex-keeper was this time last year, who is currently getting splinters in his arse on the Palace bench.
New goal keeping coach deserves praise as well, when you look at how Davies has come on as well.

Which made it even better.

He swaggers around his goal area, just like Butland did. Except he deserves to swagger. Brilliant performance at what he had to deal with.

As good as he’s been the last couple, he’s a young goalkeeper and still developing. As his first couple of games showed he’s not the finished article yet and he’ll get more out of going back out on loan for the second half of the season than sitting on our bench.
Assuming Davies and Gunn are fit by the end of January, MON has a decision to make. It’s only worth keeping Bursik if he’s realistically going to play more than not. Otherwise another loan is best.

With the young players we have, I see a bright future if we can keep them together and resist the temptation to sell. Bursik, Collins, Souttar, Campbell, Thompson, Brown, Tymon, Verlinden and Oakley-Booth. Best crop of young players since the late sixties, Farmer, Marsh, Pejic, Smith, mahoney, Dodd, conroy, Moores Bernard. Bursik was enormous today and Collins fantastic, Cousins and Tymon superb and Campbell could have sealed the win on 3 occasions and Brown showed some bravery. FEELING GOOD ABOUT OUR PROSPECTS THIS SEASON...........

We've got to let him keep the shirt when the others return until he has a shitter as I dont think he's under an illusions as to were he sits in the pecking order but you go with your in form players and a goalkeeper with confidence is a good building block.
It is an interesting one that potentially out an awful injury crisis we could end up coming out of it even stronger with the expedited development of Bursik.
I think Broome is going to make a really good keeper as well if we can handle his development correctly.

The group who played today all had their best or close to best game ever for us

He's beginning to have more confidence when coming for crosses than Butland had at times last season.

He's only 20 and shipped 6 goals in his first two games but he has remained focused and solid which suggests a great character, I hope we are still singing his praises as a great Stoke keeper in 10 years time.

He’s had to learn Very quickly and in some cases brutally BUT the young lad oozes confidence, which for keepers is everything.
Keep up the great work.

Bursik is getting better and better and deserves to keep his place when others return It’s harsh to drop him but I’d let him enjoy the clean sheets and bring back Davies, after all we were much better with him in the side. I’m sure joe will get his chance in time and fair play for his performances in the last few games.

Was really impressed with his handling on those low crosses swept across the face of goal. It would have been very easy to parry at least one of them with all the bodies flying around, but he kept his concentration and claimed them all cleanly.

When he was given his chance my exact words were the lad needs be told to go and make a name for himself and make that jersey his very own!
Well the lad is certainly doing that. Davies was playing superb, and now he has one hell of a job to dislodge this young man. He is getting better every game. When everyone is fit, he is still our number 1 until he deserves to lose it
