3-0 up, I thought thank God, no Arse twitching for a change, but forgot this is Stoke City.

Excellent win that. Pick of the players for me McClean, Soutter and Fletcher and Campbell

He won’t donit again. And it hasn’t cost us points. He’ll learn. Exactly, next time he'll kick it into the back row of the stand. But there are plenty on here who want to crucify him.

Brentford flatter to deceive but it was still a good win. They have a strong midfield and some strong offensive players. The full back caught the eye with his forward runs but couldn’t defend for toffee. They still have the same weakness in goal and their new centre forward looks like he is out of his depth. They will threaten the play offs but aren’t the force of last season. New centre forward “out of his depth “ ? Possibly, but seven goals in his previous four games, leaves that open to debate. Perhaps this is the first time he’s come up against a Souttar! He defended like superman today, at times. The ball was drawn to his head like to a magnet.

I think our defence just did very well to shut him out.

If he carries on how he is going, we are really going to struggle to hold on to Harry Souttar, and Collins has done nothing to say he is anything less that competent in his role. For me Chester looked like the weak link in the defence, and he is no mug either,

Let's hope that we are thereabouts in January and can add to the squad if necessary....and go up this year.

Is there a place for Ryan in this team? Would Collins, Shawcross, Souttar back three upset the balance/ the dynamics?

Toney has been scoring of late but we totally cut any supply to him today. was great to see him get frustrated because a good striker

Unfortunately the answer is no i think he's way down the pecking order but I wouldn't rule him out just yet. Either way the lads a club legend and he has my utmost respect and thanks.

Pretty much the same can be said of Baath. I also think MON needs to try get a tune out of Lindsay on the left of either a 2 or a 3.

It hurts me to say so but seriously think Ryan is now a spent force 😔😔. Lindsay - don't even go there

Wouldnt it be nice to get Lindsey stepping up and grabbing that 3rd CB position, he can play well on the ball just does a John Stones and makes silly mistakes that punish us. I think we wont see Shawx this year. Then if he doesnt feature much or gets injured again his contract is up at the end of the season, he is our higest earner, would we offer him a new contract? or will he understand his body is shot and retire from playing and look in to coaching

Very noticeable how players and coaching staff went to his ( Andy cousins ) we the end clearly wanted to manage any confidence issues

Happy to say that I'm seriously deluded but if a fit Ryan can recover the form and ability of a few years ago (he is only what 32/3) then IMO he is exactly what our defence needs. Ill go a step further and say that if you add Allen and Ryan (at close to their best) to this team we would be getting promoted. We look good when we have the confidence to be on the front foot but our defence has been so fragile for do long we are too scared to commit too much going forward. We've also been crying out for the energy and drive that James Mac provided today; add Allen and for me we are unrecognisable.

And i would like to believe he is essential in and around the squad as a senior player and long time loyal servant of the club. If he is a good influence then he needs to be kept on at the club in some form of capacity. I have no doubt Souttar has probably benefitted from the influence of Shawcross since he arrived in 2016 or whenever it was.

Happy with that line-up, a very decent performance and good result.
Would like to see a bit more creativity from Mikel.
