Made that ten times more difficult than it needed to be. That final 20 minutes has over shadowed what was a very good performance. Hope MON rips into them. Yes plenty to learn from that performance - positives and negatives. Great Result though.

Good win. Just got to look at those balls in behind the full backs. Barnsley did it and got joy from them. Defended them reasonably well I thought. Take that stupid mistake out from Tymon and it’s only 1 conceded and a comfortable victory. They got in behind way too often I thought. And Barnsley looked like they’d score every time they attacked. We definitely need to work on it.

Brilliant 70 minutes.
We got tired and needed Tymon to help us deal with their right hand side... which he never looked up to unfortunately.
I'd have taken 4 points from Barnsley and Brentford in hindsight anyway! 👍🏻

A great watch and some excellent performances. A nail biter at the end against a good team.
Good to see MON put an arm around Tymon and having a quiet word as they went into the tunnel.
Well done Stoke.

Tymon has reverted back to what he was a year ago! BM He’s definitely a confidence player. Had a few people around him as they were walking away at the end trying to up his spirits.

Playing 343 is going to see lots of goals, both ends, isn't it?

Another good performance from the young CB’s.
Campbell was excellent
Jimmy McC caused them lots of problems
Disappointed to give away 2 goals as a 3 nil beating of these would have been great for confidence

From what I saw (was only half watching) 3-2 flattered them massively they scored one good goal (should have been cut out) then a gift from tymon I think. We could have been 6-0 comfortably. Soooo much better when we play like that with aggression and pace. I don’t think there is many strikers in this league that score the goal Campbell did Should of left it at that. Bretford were very good and we weathered alot of what they threw at us.

Well! I predicted a one goal win for Stoke, so by not saying the amount of goals, I was proven right. I think we were a lot better than I expected and Brentford were a lot worse and had actually deserved a drubbing. The part I got wrong was I said we had finally become cynical; if we had we wouldn't have allowed them back in the game, but, that can easily be forgotten in two minutes, when we'll just celebrate another three points and we're so far ahead of the bottom half that for the foreseeable future we can concentrate on building for a spell among the top teams.

I thought Chester had a better game
Campbell and Fletcher taken off in preparation for midweek game- lost some threat up front, but some of the play unrecognisable from the poor performance v Barnsley
Great result

Confidence should still be high after a great victory. I’m sure MON will give suitable praise.

Not for the first time we have kept the opposition in the game by our own mistakes. Some excellent individual performances and a well organised team performance as well. Cut out errors at crucial moments and we will put most teams in this league under the cosh.

Tymon has reverted back to what he was a year ago! BM Harsh mate Yes Agree. Harsh. Expecting too much from young players. Yes, was a clanger needs to learn from it and build on the positives he has shown. I thought the substitution (Tymon for Campbell) was a too negative and invited pressure unnecessarily. Vokes is no Fletcher either. .

Keeper was very poor very slow to make a decision Agree. He could have done better. If he had recognised a little earlier that he was not going to get there he could have adjusted his position and made it much more difficult for the attacker. Personally I think if davies throws himself at it he gets there, but I can see why he didn’t.

I thought we had weathered a tricky 15 mins or so after their 1st and were seeing the game out quite well until Tymon gifted them a goal.
Luckily it didnt cost us points.
Overall not a lot to complain about and 12pts from 7 games isnt a bad return.
I think for 10 minutes though we also saw the difference between Vokes and Fletcher !
We are getting there though slowly and no doubt there will be hiccups along the way.

Great result and one we all would've taken before KO. We looked dangerous whenever we countered. Two moments of silliness though. Firstly, I love Campbell and he obviously had a great game with the brilliant assist and goal, but he was a bit too casual in giving away possession for their first. Then obviously Tymon's backpass. Very poor as Brentford's heads had dropped by that point and it took the shine off a brilliant win slightly whilst also aging us all significantly longer than the 5mins we had to wait for FT. I think MON will be having a quiet word with the lad. Can't be that sloppy if he's to forge a career here. If we had ended up drawing on the back of that it wouldn't have been a fun dressing room for him.
