I've been saying it for months and you've been all inevitable and thought I wanted MON sacked because you can't actually form a good argument. I don't want anyone sacked bar Scholes. I just want us to pass the ball a bit better and along the ground a bit more. Do that and we should move up the table and get what I think we deserve, which is to finish in the top 2. Now stop being a drama queen Wingy. There you go again, being all inevitable. It's all about being proven right. You don't want Stoke to do well because that means you're not right. You can deny it all you like but it's clear as day. All you do when you can't form an argument is claim people are someone else. No I want Stoke to do well because I fucking hate the Championship

This injury to Joe could be the solution to our DM role, nobody can question the effort he puts in, but his positional lack of discipline cost us a few times, if he is not quite as mobile as pre injury it may mean he has to hold his position, so could be relied upon to be there when needed and do a great DM role.

Like I've said before i had the same injury and surgery as Joe and over 12 months later it's and never will be back to normal, admittedly 20 years younger and better after care but I'd be very surprised to see him fully recovered

I’m very hopeful he will make a big impact when fit and give us some much need busy combative zip! And maybe the odd goal like he did for Hughes.
No point being negative.

I love it - one minute you're in the relegation zone, the next you're in the play off zone. On any one day any team can beat any other and every team can start the season thinking they have a shout of winning it. And no VAR. Obviously I want us to return to the Premiership but for me it's a double edged sword. In many ways I actually prefer the Championship - it's a proper football competition and not some glorified game of FIFA Manager for the global mega rich. And to cap it all it has the abomination that is VAR.

We've missed Joe Allen's industry in midfield.

Don’t think we’ll see Jo again unfortunately.. family have moved back to South Wales and he’s in a flat in Bham.. Apparently he’s fully fit but the deals already been done for January and he can’t play.. only train. shame as he’s always fought for the club and we could do with him right now.

It'd certainly be a shock if someone decided to pay Allen what he's on here in January (not even mentioning a potential fee) for a soon-to-be 31yo coming off possibly the worst injury you can get - with no game time, and proof that he can be the same player

You’re right.. He lived at Slindon but he moved a couple of months ago.
My money would be on a move back to the Swans.

Not sure if there is any truth in this, but MON does seem slightly more confident that we will continue to evolve in the window and doesn't mention FFP as much as normally. Perhaps there are outgoings lined up, which give us more wriggle room?.

Hopefully he’s been rehabilitated into a right back and we can move Collins inside.

Right back🤣🤣🤣🤣you been on the sherry I just think that when you look at what he actually does well it suits him better. I always wanted his contemporary playing there though and indeed his best game in a Stoke shirt was at right back, Whitehead.

I agree about Whitehead having a great game at right back but there’s not a hope in hell Joe Allen will be playing right back in a Michael O’Neill team in my opinion especially with his lack of height

He could make a decent right back Quite happy to see Collins play right back myself, he's doing a great job and will benefit from this spell there when he moves back to CB Going back to Allen I think the side could do with playing a few yards hight up the pitch,Allen's relentlessness can help bring that about if he's playing midfield. Suspect he'll be used as a sub for the first month or so.

I just don’t think he can play in a midfield two and we’ve shown we can do better with others in. Cousins protects the back line better Clucas scores more Mikel is a much better passer Then there’s Allen.
