Gillingham will be a harder game If Andy Hessenthaler is out, we’ll have a chance. And Rob Styles isn't the referee ...

That result and team selection gives us fans hope at last. We have obviously got some exciting kids I just hope we keep them and give them fair game time. Onwards and upwards hopefully

last time we had gills in a cup game ? 2012 3-1 victory at Priestfield. I think that was the day Phil Taylor was spotted in the Stoke crowd although Vale were playing only a relatively short distance away at Colchester.

Yes Wolves Forum appears to read similar to a classic Oatcake Meltdown. One poster even refers to their GK as a "....biscuit-wristed fraud" But for most part they are saying the players didn't show up and are all over Adama for ball-watching. The goal replay to me looks like we simply moved the ball well and out-hustled them on the play.
From one of their more "measured" posters: "Not that bothered about going out of the cup but concerned about the performance. We played a pretty strong side. Silva looks like he has potential but as other have said, looks nowhere near ready for a Premier League game. £35 million seems like a lot of money at the moment. Only one game though and nearly everyone else in the team was as bad, so hard to tell." - geez, 35....MILLION? Wonder if they are interested in Wimmer?

Well that was something, going to make selection interesting. MON has got a grip on our defence that we haven't seen for a couple of seasons and 8s bringing on some youngsters. We have one hell of a manager, just hope he keeps this up.

Didnt watch the game but followed it on here...… top top result ! TO those that watched a very simple question - what was the catalyst for tonights win? Remember when we controlled the ball for large amounts of the first half under jones, without scoring. Then the opposition went and scored, and you sat there thinking, we this is really pissing me off because it’s happening time and time again. It reminded me of that. We were solid in the first half, excellent shape, conceded little opportunities, our confidence grew as time went on, whilst they were lacking in ideas, I like the way O’Neil goes about setting his sides up. He really won’t allow passengers in the side. I’m really looking forward to watching how this season goes. Just a shame we can’t all get down there and show our appreciation

Great performance. The young players were excellent and new signings look class, with injured players to return the squad looks strong.

Change the whole XI. It’s a meaningless game that we’re probably better off losing anyway. But we can give a game to the other half of the squad and actually it’ll be a great test for them. Butland Edwards Collins Souttar Lindsay Cousins Thompson Oakley-Boothe Ince Afobe Tymon I know you won't change your view about being a meaningless game. But gauging the reaction on here and some stellar performances from the kiddies it was far from meaningless. Better off losing LMFAO

Fletcher really impressed, Smith played his socks off. Roll on Gillingham and whatever the 4th round draw may give us as an enticement

I would give credit to McClean for the move for the goal too. It was a great move. It was a good move but he wasn’t why we changed in the second half imo. It came from the back 3 playing it out and keeping it better. And Fletcher holding it up better. The move for the goal was excellent and not taking anything away from that 👍

It shouldn’t need this game to show us the young players are the way forward
