You can go to the ground and watch the game INSIDE from a room but you can’t look out through a curtain covered window to see the action.
It’s daft shit like this that makes a complete mockery of the rules

Football as we know it is a no-go for the forseeable. If the club offered an attractive streaming pass for the rest of the season, competitively priced or at least offering something for their cash as extras people would be interested. As it stands they probably have their hands tied behind their backs with TV pricing but paying for a meal and not even seeing the pitch is not something that does not sound worthwhile to me. They have an opportunity to make matchday interactive with the fans online, some of the points in the article like Q and A's with the players/virtual mascots could be great in building a more community atmosphere than logging into a stream. Comments from the fans appearing on the stream before the match - there is alot of possibilities there if looked at. You are joking re improving the streaming offering? ... ours must be worst out there! Maybe put it to supporters council? Or maybe not, as the chair works for BBC providing the piss poor radio overdub. Could be a conflict of interests. Doesn't take a genius to work out we are very poor in this area, I think everyone agrees - even when you see what lower league clubs offer in terms of interaction and streams we are way behind.
In Ange's defence she has asked for suggestions from fans in the article quoted a few posts back.

Was talking to a Bury fan yesterday and he showed me some of the communication the new pheonix club have sent him through social media and email.
It's actually light years ahead of us. He got an email saying something along the lines of 'Dear X, we've spotted you are a registered Bury supporter that hasn't attended a game yet. Please come along and support us at our next home game (opponents, date and time automatically populated in the email)'. A link was provided to go and buy an electronic ticket. The email carried on to say that if he couldn't attend then feel free to purchase a stream of the game, and a link provided for that too.
Wonderful for a club that has only been around for a few months. Owned and ran by local supporters too.

Football still receives MASSIVE revenue from TV...and Parry knows this. Sadly Parry and his PL buddies don't want to share the riches around Just look at the new "pay per view" for pl games...even the clubs are against it! Parry is stirring things because he needs to deflect from his support of the big 6 breakaway ideas Whilst I agree that he needs to deflect things away from Project Big Picture, the sentiment of his letter is correct, you can't deny that. Yes the PL still receives huge sums of money from TV revenue, but the EFL doesn't and nothing has changed over the last 4-6 weeks, those clubs still desperately need an income. Why should the PL help out when the government is helping every other fucker but not Football? It's not fair and it doesn't make sense EFL gets a share...not sure how much, certainly not enough, and that is down to how poorly they negotiated their own TV deal...but they still do have an income, whilst non league probably don't Parry needs to be working on getting football finances better balanced down the pyramid, rather than being the "trojan horse" of the big 6 imho

New lockdown next week so i dont think its happening for a while From a tactics perspective, I think the argument of football clubs, supporters and authorities to the Government now needs to be that limited crowds should be allowed to return when other similar industries with outdoor crowds (e.g theme parks) are allowed to reopen following the next lockdown. Clearly not going to happen right now when we are unfortunately probably closer to all behind closed doors footy being called off than spectators being allowed in.

Football can continue as can all other professional sports in this country as it’s closely monitored
Just like France and Germany is continuing

With new restrictions looking to come into force next week, do we think football will come to a hault again?
My personal opinion is that they should revert back to project restart, increase testing and keep football going.

I think they will keep it going. The new lockdown will not be like the first. I think they will essentially just ban any social interactions between households, and keep schools, shops, etc open.

It’s a good question.
I hope they do. It’s a very welcome distraction.
All this stuff is making me lose my mind a bit.
My opinion is it won’t.
I’m not sure they can justify it.

I think they will keep it going in principle at least, it's not great but it's a welcome distraction which gives structure to week and helps keep us sane.
A danger to it out of the authorities control is if it runs through several Championship teams, they may have to at least pause the season.

Looks increasingly like at least 2022 before any spectators will be allowed in a football ground at League/Prem level.

Well you'd think they'd have sanitising stations at Vile Park before all of this anyway. In fact, a hamzat suit should be a prerequisite for venturing into Burslem.

Getting 4000 fans to attend a Vale game is wildly optimistic isn’t it😏 Most of the crowd comes from the travelling supporters

No. Easy steps. Let Vale get used to being on the secondary pages before exposing them to the full glare of publicity.
