With the rising Covid 19 cases locally and nationally I very much doubt the government will sanction such trials yet, it’s asking for trouble.

On the contrary I am of the opinion the Government will not only sanction trials like this they will positively encourage them as part if their get back to normal drive, whether or not it is the sensible thing to do.

Do fans really want to risk it yet? Its a personal matter but I will and I'm looking forward to going if I get one. The only issue I have is red or white...

Do fans really want to risk it yet? I will apply common sense as I have been doing from the off. Socially distance in the pub beforehand (beer garden preferably), wear a mask in the concourse and at half time if talking to people fairly close up at half time etc. Take my hand sanitiser and use it religiously. You've got to assess the risk v getting back to normality and I think it's worth it personally providing everyone sticks to the rules. I fully appreciate people may think differently. Ultimately if you've got 3 young kids at school/nursery and you're travelling the country working as I have/am you're always at risk so it's about being sensible around others.

I've got two kids at school, I'm surrounded by people all day at work, chances are I'm going to get it somewhere at some point. However, I'm in decent enough health, not got any underlying conditions, I'm (only) 42...so although it's not impossible that I could end up getting seriously ill from covid, the chances are probably about the same as me being run over by a bus. However, that's not to say I want to get it or that I'm completely blase about it. If I attend a game, I think I might give the usual pre-match pint a miss, which will hopefully mean I can go all afternoon without squeezing into the bogs at half-time, and if I can get my usual seat on the back row, I avoid getting covered in other people's spit when they start singing (always a bonus anyway).

Watching Stoke play without the pre-match crack with pals is tantamount to torture. The game regularly ruins a good day. If it's only the game we are going for, I wouldn't bother personally.

It's going to be interesting how it plays out - I can't help but think there can only be a large rise in cases when combining returning schools, returning mass gatherings and heading back into winter.
Personally, I think it's inevitable that there will be widespread regional lockdowns again between now and spring.
I'm the first person to say I really miss attending live sport and that empty stadiums detract from the spectacle, but in the bigger picture there's other aspects of life I would far prioritise in maintaining - whilst still being able to happily stream games.

I think we may be in a scenario, where fans have been away this long and have discovered other things to do with their money. Some now may not want to return, and remain on the golf course or whatever else they’re doing.

And all you can do is keep your distance and be sensible yourself. You could spent half your life arguing the toss with them but it’s draining and largely futile.....

In one group not altogether so you can have groups of six all in the same place just not a group of 9k. As long as people abide by social distancing it should be fine. Thats my take on it anyway 🤷♂️

These pilot games will be under strict protocol. As long as everyone takes responsibility for their own actions you have less exposure than trogging round a supermarket

Still no news on how the Club will choose who attends. The Bristol match is neither Red or White in regard to the season tickets

The matchday experience is so often ruined by the match itself. If we can't enjoy the pubs beforehand and the banter with the people sitting around you then it loses the appeal for me. May as well just watch it on a stream.

Anything further will possibly need a vaccine. With the winter months coming, it's only going to get worse, not better.

That’s how I see things potentially going ..if you’ve reached the limit then opening more increases the problem You therefore only open what is vital in the real sense , rather than the preferred sense - hope I’m wrong in the meantime all you can do as an individual is plan for both plan a ) open and plan b ) close ..not planning for plan a if things remain open ( including football ) will mean you miss out hence my argument , we’re no nearer knowing what will transpire re football in the coming months as we were during EB .. many will face the same tough call as they did in EB ..except of course they know we’ve not been relegated

Watching Boris on TV now. I think stadia can forget having any spectators before Christmas. He specifically stated "we are not cancelling pilot schemes to returns fans for October 1st". He said they will review how they are done. Please wait for the facts.
