Seen him a couple of times Comes way out of his goal, very noisy Seen him make some excellent saves People say this then you watch the highlight packages like the one above and in the same game he has 3 horror moments like he did there. Which is imo the issue we’ve had with Butland for years, people get blinded by the saves and let the other stuff go. I think it was last years Leeds game it happened? He clapped and it went out for a corner that a good goalkeeper would have caught the ball. He then pulled off a great save yes but we should never ever have seen it. May seem harsh but for me it’s fair. Blondy might be good but some of the stuff he does just seems amateurish. The parry being the one I like the least above. He is virtually an amateur. Only signed full pro a year ago. Give him some time, he may yet develop. No player is a finished product at 18. |

It beggars belief how lacksidasical we are when it comes to reporting on our youth sides. Every club at every level shows us up time and time again. It's at every level now tbf and from what I've been told it's how Scholes wants it. We just aren't modern or forward thinking in anything we do. The u23s played Leek Town at the weekend, absolute fuck all. Who are the new 18s? I can't see that they've put the length of contract in the article for Mikel. Etc etc etc. People will say it's nitpicking but imo it's the bare minimum. There are clubs at Step 5 of the non-league pyramid who keep their supporters much better informed on the activities of their youth teams than our club, and those are run by volunteers. It's rubbish. |
