www.fussballtransfers.com/a8915020199340145368-viererpack-geschnuert-vfb-juwel-sankoh-draengt-sich-aufFour games, six goals and four assists - a record that will not let the striker fly under the radar for much longer. Only yesterday at 8: 1 for VfB II against the table penultimate TSV Schott Mainz Sankoh set the next scent mark. The youngster scored four times, had the match ball signed by his teammates after the final whistle Sankoh scored 4 yesterday for Stuttgart II. Very annoying that he left On that subject, odd that Josh Ireland has yet to sign elsewhere

He’d almost certainly have featured in the first team at some point this season for us.

Obviously we’ve seen Campbell, Souttar, Collins, verlinden and now bursik getting plenty of minutes/ appearances now but it’s taken a long time to get that many in and around the first team.

If Sankoh was still here I’d have him starting against Spurs.
With the injuries to the strikers and Vokes, there is absolutely no reason why he wouldn’t have been on the bench for the last month.
Such a shame we couldn’t convince him to stay.

Such a shame we couldn’t convince him to stay. Yep - doesn't sound like we could've done much more though. We must have promised him a pathway - and the reported contract offer sounds very decent for a 17yo www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/stoke-city-transfer-mo-sankoh-4406991Stoke were preparing a contract that would have put him level with some of the better paid players in pre-salary cap League One and Michael O'Neill and his trusted lieutenant Andy Cousins made personal interventions to encourage him to stay. But Sankoh was wanted across Europe

Can’t blame him for leaving really 2 of the ‘best’ prospects in world football a couple of years ago (Verlinden and Ngoy) couldn’t get near the first team. 2 of the next best prospects in the country couldn’t get a look in either. I don’t blame him, it’s a shame Mon didn’t come in instead of NJ as Sankoh may still be with us.

Lots of young players are moving to Germany now to get the sustained game time. And his agent was clearly pushing for a move. I don’t think it would have mattered who was manager.

I did say may to be fair, there is far too many variables, but Stuttgart have a pretty decent record of bringing players through don’t they? With him being Dutch I’m surprised he hasn’t gone to Ajax, they must be one of the best academies about?

It's not been a long time since MO'N arrived; he's made aĺl the difference. It's wonderful having a manager who is prepared to risk his job by giving young players a chance. If he can pick up another in January and developed a couple more, we could have an exciting young team by the end of the season. It's some of the old players that are holding us back.

I remember a certain "you don't win anything with kids" quote. That aside it is difficult to blend them into a team but MON seems to be making a decent go of it by the look of things to date. He really does seem to be a good fit as manager of Stoke. Potentially building something that we could benefit from for a long time. Ironically the FFP restrictions could be fairly influential in all of this. Most important of all he seems to be creating something that is getting close to giving us a much needed identity. We haven't had one of those for a long time. I just hope the club keep on backing him 100%.

Just following the tweets tonight you could tell he had a good game. We need to get Forrester, Coates, Porter and Jennings out on loan this month.

Thought you’d want them straight in the First Team Bayern 😉. Who, out of that quartet do you have the highest hopes for?

Interview with one of the Chester managers, speaks well about Taylor.
He’s one of the pair that were managing Salford in the documentary that are proper old school.

Is Porter a full back? Left or right? Central midfielder. Gets the ball and move, gets up and down well, good at set pieces. Coates is a full back. Very attacking, very quick. Mainly right but has been playing left to accommodate Bauer.

Re Connor Taylor
Trying to find out where he came from because he wasn’t on any squad list.
Seems like we signed him last year as a 2nd year scholar.
Maybe from the Vale?
