It will be 1,000 to start with a phased increase I reckon. How quickly that phased increase will increase sill of course depend on what’s happening in the wider context..... How are they picking the thousand then🤔The Colchester 500 must get priority 😄😄

I don't necessarily disagree, but I was at Stafford Rangers on Saturday afternoon for their match against Ashton - according to the tannoy announcement, they had sold 595 tickets out of the 600 available (including 90 away supporters). If 600 can currently be allowed in to a Northern Premier League match, then I'd be surprised if they start as low as 1,000 for a Championship one - maybe 2 to 3 thousand? However, as you rightly say, wider context, and at the moment that only seems to be going one way, unfortunately.

Basically, it's going to be scrapped. I just can't see any way this can go ahead in the current climate. common sense would say this but then we see demise of so many lower league clubs too

I was just working on the basis they may roll that out to all clubs as a starting point.....

"Following the announcement from the Prime Minister last night, it is with regret ..." Going to level 4 allows for no relaxation of restrictions, in fact the opposite.

Yep brakes are being applied after months of several relaxations. I suppose we should be grateful(?) that football is actually being played. Anymore infections and you'd imagine we might be back to an April situation. The worry is for teams and leagues below us, there's no money to be made with 10s of Quest highlights. We will see...

That should be the yardstick for me Mama’s back header👍Or the 174 at Sunderland on a Monday night I think😄 In all seriousness, I don’t think there’s a way of doing this fairly that the vast majority will agree with. Plenty of people who consider themselves regulars, die hard, through thick and thin fans will miss out if it’s only 1,000. Expect plenty of pissed off punters.

I just don't get it, you can go virtual anywhere in the UK with thousands of people about. Pubs, restaurants are busy Windermere was packed but you're not allowed into a stadium to watch football its bollocks.

Us 24 deserve a free bloody season ticket for life for making that trip

I know it's only Non-League but the pictures this evening won't help the overall cause of getting fans back into stadiums. At the Hashtag Utd v Soham FA Cup tie on the BBC there was no social distancing in evidence whatsoever....

I know it's only Non-League but the pictures this evening won't help the overall cause of getting fans back into stadiums. At the Hashtag Utd v Soham FA Cup tie on the BBC there was no social distancing in evidence whatsoever.... The problem is that social distancing and football supporting fundamentally doesn't go together. A large part of football supporting and it's surrounding culture is tribal, surrounding yourself with like minded people who follow the same team and cheering them on shoulder to shoulder. It's not about organised queues to get in, one way systems, masks and sitting apart from everyone else. The whole process of social distancing is utterly counter to any natural instincts when it comes to supporting football and it's inevitably doomed to failure.

Sad but inevitable. Best we can hope for is the spring in my opinion. I'd be surprised if full attendance is back even for next season if I'm honest. It would need a vaccine to come out no later than mid winter and prove successful in dramatically reducing infections and crucially, protecting those most vulnerable. I don't see that happening before next August.

They need to bring out a streaming season ticket then.
I’d rather my money go to the club but £10 per game is far too steep.

We are fortunate to have such wealthy owners but think there’s a strong chance a lot of clubs are going to go to the wall in the next few months without some kind of bailout - personally would like to see some of the Premier League clubs contributing to it given there’s apparently still enough money floating around in the top division to pay Gareth Bale £300k a week.
