What's the standard of the Turkish League? Their National team yesterday vs Norway were dreadful, especially that Burak guy upfront.
Glad Diouf scores. 🤠

Better than Berahino, Gregory, Afobe, Jese, Choupo-Moting, Bony, Vokes and Hogan.
How much did the above cost us in fees and wages, when we had better all along?
We treated him disgracefully for all the work and team spirit he put in. I wish him nothing but the best in his career.

We've wasted a kings ransom on players who have come nowhere near matching his actual contribution never mind the wasted potential. Just stick it all on the list marked '£150m in debt and counting'. Strangest damn thing I've ever seen.

Also the season has only just begun. 😂 might as well chuck Badou and Wimmer in there then.

I agree, apart from Choupo as he is a very talented player and very good when he is up for it. If you look back at C-M's stats for us they really aren't that bad. Remember it was his first season in the PL as well, and a lot of players need time to adapt to the pace of the league. Didn't he score 6-7 goals and winning a couple penalities for us as well?

Hughes playing him as RWB is the worst decision I've ever seen and I witnessed Jonathan Woodgate as a RB.

That's a relief, I thought this was about Mama's pastry shop closing down.
What is it about being unable to get our players' names right on this site?
It wasn't that long ago that some bloke called Pullis was the devil incarnate too...!

He had one particularly heroic performed against Cjelse6in the league Cup,but that was a case of needs must as Bardsley had been sent off. It made no sense to have our best striker at the club playing in defence whilst we plummeted down the league

Just the mention of Woodgate really because I thought unlike Woodgate he did well at it. Totally wrong to do and he should never have been anything but a striker.

I still haven't got the faintest idea why Hughes and the subsequent rogues gallery of managers ignored Diouf, it's genuinely hard to comprehend.

I’ll never understand why Hughes spent 12 months chasing him, got him, played him, he got the most league goals from a Stoke player in a single season in the PL then barely used him up front after that season. I never understood that neither. A quote from the planetfutebol article: "But the rejuvenation of Mame Diouf is evidence of what confidence and consistency can do for a player." Imo Hughes simply needed give Mame a run of games as centre forward, and he'd have found his touch in front of goal. That's what the Turkish side have done. I'm baffled Hughes never did that. Nor any of our managers since neither.

But he doesn't seem to be a donkey now after a consistent run of games as central striker, which was my point. And I like Brown. His donkey work gives defences nightmares, and has been an integral part in some of our good performances and results lately. Edit: in my opinion of course

He scored goals yes, but most of em came off his arse, donkey player. Which is probably why Hughes didn't trust him up front As has been demonstrated that was a a massive mistake Dodgy first touch or not he was a reliable goal scorer and should have been playing there
