Glad to see we have not learnt any lessons !! Problems and delay MAY have been due to Palace admin, but hey ho, don't spoil the story!

Glad to see we have not learnt any lessons !! Nowt to do with us - it is Palace who have run the deal so close to the deadline. Watching Hodgeson on sky earlier he didn't seem to get very interested about it other than he said we need another keeper due in the injury and that the powers that be were working on a solution, didn't sound to me like it was his choice.

And you know its stokes fault how? I don’t i was asking how the poster knew it was CP that’s all? Given it was pretty much Palace or nowt, coupled with their late dash for a keeper, and the fact Hodgson said earlier they were looking at a number of options, I'd say it was as nailed on as you can get that it was down to Palace!

Not great money but a couple of million perhaps of our yearly wage bill also with Edwards and BMI, no cash to Birmingham it seems and beats paying him until the Summer and getting nothing. OK we have to pay Gunn and by all accounts have extras in the Butland deal which is good. Should help the FFP situation greatly

It’s a shame to see him go when he could have been a Stoke legend, pre injury form of course. However it’s time to say goodbye, his performances over the last few seasons have been mainly woeful, (can he dive to the left for a penalty rather than tamely roll over to his right?) Hopefully Adam Davies won’t be dropped, having played so well, if Gunn comes in; much like Grant being dropped for Butland many years ago.

Yes !!! A whole million pounds 🤗🤗🤗 Don't forget Blues will be entitled to some of that aswell! Think the original price we paid was £3.5m and they were owed a percentage on any profit.. £1m doesn't feel great, but it seems like the market was very small for him, which given the last three years isn't really a surprise. So taking that into account makes the price feel about right. It's obviously the best our negotiation team could muster.
