30M please Liverpool edit: ok then just 10M for a short-term loan (snigger) I know those figures are daft but on a serious if they desperately want rid of Adrian, don't we hold all the cards here? I can't see it happening but if it did, we have quite a bit of leverage don't we?

Is he better than Adrian? The Butland of 2017 is, but will he ever get back there? Can't just click your fingers and turn back time.
For a month until Alisson is fit again, can't see them wanting to spend a huge amount
Can only assume a lot of Liverpool fans are familiar with the Butland of FIFA 17 fame, and not so familiar with this version.

£3.5M would be enough for me. We get our money back, but it’s classed as a profit as he has been here for sometime now, and Brum get sweet FA

Would be a Rocky-like comeback if it happened and he played for Liverpool for the next month. Sadly, probably as much chance of joining Blackpool as Liverpool - although if they want a non-Adrian option, it's Championship or nothing My little one would be chuffed to bits if Jack ended up at liverpool.

He needs a fresh start He is a good goalkeeper, has had a really tough 2/3 years and is desperately short of confidence Short memories we may have been relegated from our first season in the championship where he earned at least 8 extra points for us He turned down “bigger clubs” than Stoke and we had an English international on our books Some disappointing comments on here

Cost us loads of points in the last three seasons and one of the reasons we were relugated. Always massively overrated

Not that it takes much at all to shift these odds, but Liverpool seem to have been backed into 4/1 favs to sign him entirely on the back of one kite-flying article suggesting that Paul Robinson thinks it'd be a good idea.
Liverpool 4/1 Southampton 10/1 Crystal Palace 14/1 Fulham 16/1 West Brom 16/1 Sheffield Utd 20/1 Burnley 22/1 Leeds 25/1 Aston Villa 33/1

Is it ex goalie Paul Robinson and was he once a client of Stretford is it?
I have no idea if he was but it would make sense!

I can see this happening, Adrian has been a total disaster and Alison is out for 6 weeks.
Would make sense on a short term deal until end of season.

For anyone who hasn’t read the article, please note that this “link” is merely an ex pro suggesting Butland as a potential target for Liverpool. There’s likely absolutely nothing in it whatsoever.

Who actually thinks he's going Liverpool?

Who actually thinks he's going Liverpool? I'd be stunned if he did - but there must be a very slim chance just due to the market restrictions. The idea that they're actually looking for a new No.2 keeper seems very hazily sourced - and you doubt Klopp will conclude he's an Adrian upgrade so will probably just stick with what he's got for the next month until Alisson's back. If they were actually looking for a new keeper, would've thought they'd be looking for one that could play in the Champions League, given Alisson will supposedly now miss 3 games in that. But they didn't move for one before yesterday and that was apparently the registration deadline, so can only assume they're sticking I've got no idea if he'll: 1.) Move now 2.) Move in Jan 3.) Leave on a Bosman and if he'll end up: 1.) as a No.1 at a small Prem club 2.) end up as a No.2 somewhere in the Prem 3.) be a Championship No.1 4.) go abroad somewhere (maybe MLS?) If I had to guess, I'd say certainly rule out Premier League No.1 - but everything else seems wide open. He and his agent must have been trying to get him a move every day for the past 6 months though and nothing's happening. So there must be no interest of note at all. Surely we're at the stage now where Stoke would put up almost no opposition to any kind of move, anywhere?
