Mcclean will be a big miss for sure.
He was Motm last night apparently too.
Tymon should get another chance or bring in Brown.

He won't be missed a great deal. Unless you miss giving the ball away a lot and having 80% of crosses going absolutely no where.

I love Jimmy's energy and commitment, but a front three out of Campbell, Brown, Fletcher and Powell should be fine. Further back, depending on the system used, Fox and/or Tymon need to step up in his absence.
Strangely, after a few years short of left sided options, we are okay for now, with the right hand side more of a concern, with no cover for Smith.

I guess we will see how close Verlinden is to the match day 18 on Friday, if he plays for the under 23's?.

Would Stoke be due any compensation for this being contracted on International duty? Or just Sod's law.... He tested positive on International duty but, given the incubation time, it is quite possible he contracted it before he joined the Irish squad. Which is a concern

Yes, we know you have hated him from Day 1....you made that very clear. He's one my favourite Stoke players I don't mind admitting. He's got his footballing faults but I like him for the incredible level of commitment and endeavour I see from him for this football club week in, week out, and he is a bloody useful player to have in a Championship team. Nowt else.

Ince on the left then until Verlinden is fit enough then they fight for it. Yeah I know Ince and fight never go in the same sentence Ince will keep him out if played on the left. I'm still banging on about him playing there I was, sort of, until Brentford away FA Cup last season he couldn't have put a more Ince non-performance

Gives away possession a lot and his crossing is pretty shit at the best of times. But each to their own.

Are glittery boots a thing, and if not why not? We could’ve stumbled onto something here. These young millionaire players will buy any old gaudy shit if you stick a premium on it. Exactly. Fluorescent boots are so 2010s, and the ones flirting with grey tones are a bit meh, and the white ones ridiculous. Glittery boots are the future, the post-Covid comeback boot.

We were struggling for intensity in our performance without him. Agree he’d be ideal at Hillsboro and you jysy know what’s coming there McLean , Allen , Thomson , Clucas all missing would be a huge blow and O’Neil will have to be careful even if Clucas is fit as he will be a wind up target for sure remember WBA at home .

Quick question, sorry if already asked but Why don’t all the players have to self isolate on the 14 day rule that were on the pitch that faced McClean on Sunday?

Nothing further your honour. We were fine before he came back in the side and we'll be fine after. Werrit arses He's improved us a lot since coming back in. Tymon was nowhere nearly as effective despite the mini-clamour for his inclusion when he was flavour of the month for all of 5 minutes. You know what you're going to get from McClean; it's not going to be fancy, and it has its limitations, but it works.

He was brilliant against Brentford but I honestly don’t think anything has changed. We’ve played poorly all season and that hasn’t changed bar the Brentford game.
