Right, this is how I see it and assumes we lose our final two games. (A draw in either game would ensure our survival by virtue of our massively better goal difference over both Hull and Luton) Barnsley can’t catch us. One gone. Luton play Hull tomorrow and any loser can’t catch us or if it’s a draw, neither can catch us. Say Luton won, then they’d need to beat Blackburn as well to overtake us. If Hull won, then they also would need to win their final match as well, away to Cardiff. So, one of either Hull or Luton must finish below us. Two (or three) gone. Charlton play Wigan tomorrow. If Charlton win then Wigan can’t catch us with their twelve point deduction, so that would be another club that can’t finish above us. Then Charlton would be on the same points as us with a final game at Leeds, but with an inferior goal difference than us. If Wigan win they would also need to win their final game as well, against Fulham, to finish above us. The only scenario I can see that sees us relegated is if either of Luton or Hull, plus Wigan win their final two games and Charlton win at Leeds by a convincing margin. If Stoke lose both games by only 1 - 0 and Charlton lose 1 - 0 today they would only need a 1 - 0 win at pissed up players Leeds to overtake us - possible given no need for Leeds to perform in front of 0 fans. Our gd is -10, Charlton's is -11, so nothing in it. If one of Luton or Hull win, I'd prefer Hull looking at the last day fixtures. I think there will be a winner in that game. We ain't out of this by a long way even with Wigan possibly in the mix. Lots of ifs and buts but certainly not beyond the realms especially with no fans which, as we all know, is a unique situation every club finds themselves in.

We need to protect our goal difference even if we remain on 50 points We need a repeat performance re the Bristol game and to keep everyone fit for our final game We need to avoid any red cards, despite the pressure and possession frustration in our final 2 games A stressful day ahead

Stressful day, but the boys done us proud. We can look forward to next season with confidence. We can now use this as a relegation watch safe in the knowledge it doesn't involve us. Hurrah!

Barnsley have decided to make things interesting at the last moment. Bottom 4 teams all have very difficult final games. It's relegation cup-final day.

Fair play to Leeds today I didn't expect them to turn up at all. Charlton must have been hoping they switched off
