These are my mad ramblings on Facebook
I celebrated QPRs equaliser like a lunatic.
-----------------
So, by my reckoning....
Barnsley (43) need to win all 3 to catch us, they have Leeds, Brentford and Forest so unlikely
Luton (45) have to win both of their games to catch us due to GD, they have Hull and Blackburn
Hull (45) have to win both of their games to catch us, v Luton and Cardiff
(So only one of them can!)
Charlton are 3 points behind (46), play Birmingham tomorrow in a massive game then have Wigan and Leeds who are both in form
Huddersfield (48) might be the wildcard here, have to play WBA and Millwall and cant score for toffee
Brum (49) can be safe if they beat Charlton tomorrow, if they dont they have Derby and Preston
This is before any Wigan action but fair dos to them, on 45 even with a 12pt deduction and cant see them losing - will deffo beat Charlton!
Hopefully we sort ourselves out tomorrow and have a stress free last 2 games, even a point probs enough
After 15 games (we had 8pts) I was resigned to relegation tbh after 4 seasons of utter turd, but have actually enjoyed the second part of the season, we are still a bit shit (really shit occassionally!) but we are scoring goals, late winners etc - enjoyable again.
Boxing Day 2019 vs Sheff Weds will live long in the memory!

Updates after today's excitement. You'd think Charlton and Huddersfield are in a whole hunk of trouble. Birmingham have probably squeaked home. Anyway, hopefully nothing for us to worry about. I'll keep this updated while games roll in just for fun all being well.

Everything below QPR and including Wigan due to pending points deduction.
In short to stay up (many more perms of course), Barnsley must not get 9 from their last 3 games, Luton must not get 6 and Hull must not get 6.
In other words, we're pretty much safe.
RED = lost AMBER = Drawn GREEN = Won
Stoke: 50 pts Wigan Athletic A Barnsley H Leeds United A Birmingham City H Bristol City A Brentford H Nottingham Forest A
GD: -10
| Charlton: 47 pts Cardiff City A Millwall H Brentford A Reading H Birmingham City A Wigan Athletic H Leeds United A
GD: -11

Middlesbrough: 50pts Hull City A Queens Park Rangers H Millwall A Bristol City H Reading A Cardiff City H Sheffield Wednesday A
GD: -12
| Hull City: 45 pts Middlesbrough H West Bromwich Albion A Bristol City A Millwall H Wigan Athletic A Luton Town H Cardiff City A
GD: -26
| Huddersfield: 48 pts Nottingham Forest A Birmingham City A Preston North End H Reading A Luton Town H Sheffield Wednesday A West Bromwich Albion H Millwall A
GD: -16
| Luton Town: 45 pts Leeds United A Reading H Barnsley H Huddersfield A Queens Park Rangers H Hull City A Blackburn Rovers H
GD: -30

GD: -21
| Wigan Athletic: 45 pts* Stoke City H Brentford A Queens Park Rangers H Barnsley A Hull City H Charlton A Fulham H * Subject to league rulings
GD: +1
|
Birmingham: 50 pts Stoke City A Charlton Athletic H Preston North End A Derby County H
GD: -17

Looking at that lot I'd say there's very little in it, what I see is Luton have to play some very out of form teams and could well pull off a miracle. Barnsley look to have a horror final 4 games and I'd not want to swap that. Before today I'd also say that Hull would not got another point, but those sort of predictions seem wide of the mark. Updated following today's outcome(s)
Adding Chrispk match summary (updated): Charlton have 1 v bottom 11 Luton have 1 games v bottom 11Â Hull have 1 v bottom 11 Wigan have 1 v bottom 11 Middlesborough have 1 v bottom 11
Birmingham have 0 v bottom 11
Huddersfield have 0 v bottom 11 Barnsley have 0 v bottom 11 Stoke have 0 v bottom 11
We are doing the best out of all these teams, with the exception of Wigan. Keep going stoke

If we get a point tomorrow lunchtime it's all irrelevant, but it ain't over till it's over, and with the run of form Brentford are on there's every chance we'll end up having a very interested eye on the weekend's other fixtures.
So, by my reckoning the ideal results from a Stoke perspective are:
Huddersfield v West Brom (tonight) - Anything but a home win would almost certainly leave Huddersfield needing to win a tough looking away game at Millwall on the final day in order to catch us, so a draw wouldn't be a bad result. But an away with would be likely be somewhat demotivating to Brentford ahead of our game tomorrow. Best Result: West Brom win
Charlton v Wigan (tomorrow 12:30) - If Wigan fail to win they will be unable to catch us if their points deduction is applied. If Charlton fail to win they would need a win at Leeds in their last match to be in with a chance of catching us. Best Result: Draw
Blackburn v Reading (tomorrow 15:00) - This is largely irrelevant but will give an indication of the extent to which Blackburn are already on the beach ahead of their final game at Luton. Best Result: Blackburn win
Fulham v Sheffield Wednesday (tomorrow 15:00) - Fulham play Wigan on the last day and are still in with a very outside chance of automatic promotion. A win may keep them interested going into that depending on the West Brom and Brentford results this weekend. We could still catch Wednesday with two wins. Best Result: Fulham win
Hull v Luton (tomorrow 15:00) - Arguably the biggest game of the weekend. Both teams need two wins to be in with a chance of catching us. Best Result: Draw
Middlesbrough v Cardiff (tomorrow 15:00) - With their inferior goal difference, a defeat for Boro would likely keep them below us heading into the final day, and as a direct rival we clearly don't want them picking up points. However a Cardiff win could leave Forest needing a result from our final day game against them to make the playoffs, depending on Millwall's result tomorrow, so you can also make a case for us wanting a home win here, especially as Cardiff play Hull on the last day and we may end up wanting them to be up for that one. Best Result: Undecided
Preston v Birmingham (tomorrow 15:00) - Preston could still scrape into the playoffs so will be up for this one against one of our direct rivals. Best result: Preston win
QPR v Millwall (tomorrow 15:00) - While we could still catch QPR, another other than a Millwall win makes Forest's playoff spot much more likely to be secure going into our final fixture. However Millwall play Huddersfield on the last day so a win would keep them interested for that one. Best Result: Millwall win if Forest beat Barnsley, draw otherwise
Swansea v Bristol City (tomorrow 15:00) Both these teams could still sneak the playoffs, but neither face one of our relegation rivals on the last day. Although it would take a big goal difference swing, Swansea could still on paper catch Forest if they win this one, so it's best if they don't. Best Result: Draw or Bristol City win
Derby v Leeds (Sunday 14:00) - Depending on results on the previous days, a Derby win could leave Leeds needing a result at home to Charlton on the last day to secure promotion or the title. Best Result: Derby win
Barnsley v Forest (Sunday 14:00) - A Forest win would, barring a bizarre goal difference swing with Cardiff, guarantee them a fifth placed finish giving them nothing to play for in our last day match. Best Result: Forest win
Hopefully it will all be irrelevant by 3pm tomorrow, but in case its not, now you know who to support.

Charlton currently have 47 points but a goal difference only one worse than ours. If we’re backing a Wigan win it would need to be a big enough one that it means that even by beating Leeds on the last day Charlton would be behind us on goal difference.

Don't know about anyone else, but the last few weeks and this weekend have been far more exciting than wondering whether we're going to get beat in the Prem by the likes of Man City 6-1 or 3-0. I can't remember ever paying anywhere near as much attention to what other clubs are doing as now. You gotta love the Championship for a team like Stoke - it's our true home!!!

I can honestly see Hull v Luton being a draw anyway. Two wank teams.
Obviously I’d rather us stay up on our own merit and beat Brentford but a draw between them two will be an absolutely massive relief.
We have to get off to a positive note next season though. Ideally we have a winning start and get the positivity into motion. Jesus I’m nervous as fuck for tomorrow.

Right, this is how I see it and assumes we lose our final two games. (A draw in either game would ensure our survival by virtue of our massively better goal difference over both Hull and Luton) Barnsley can’t catch us. One gone. Luton play Hull tomorrow and any loser can’t catch us or if it’s a draw, neither can catch us. Say Luton won, then they’d need to beat Blackburn as well to overtake us. If Hull won, then they also would need to win their final match as well, away to Cardiff. So, one of either Hull or Luton must finish below us. Two (or three) gone. Charlton play Wigan tomorrow. If Charlton win then Wigan can’t catch us with their twelve point deduction, so that would be another club that can’t finish above us. Then Charlton would be on the same points as us with a final game at Leeds, but with an inferior goal difference than us. If Wigan win they would also need to win their final game as well, against Fulham, to finish above us. The only scenario I can see that sees us relegated is if either of Luton or Hull, plus Wigan win their final two games and Charlton win at Leeds by a convincing margin.
