The people who vote in the Mayoral elections would appear to disagree. I see it near enough every week. Masked bikers and scooters. Last month I witnessed a phone snatching outside the Connaught just off Grosvenor Square, possibly the poshest St in London. London is the best city in the world bar none, and I have been to a lot. It has absolutely everything and a stubborn side to it which makes it. But... currently its ran by gangs who have absolute no kick backs what so ever. Its a free for-all. |

You stop it by tackling the cause, not the result. I do agree with you and Wannabes post on the Nottingham thread is an excellent one re mental health. What does concern me however is that mental health in particular is used as a get out and takes away all the responsibility from those that commit these awful acts. The issues around knife crime and attacks simply have too many arguments and counter arguments to have a simple resolution or to be put down to one specific factor whether it’s drugs or the lack of S and S. In relation to London there are parts on the outskirts that are awful and these lads on bikes robbing is a real threat. My friend is a courier and he’s had it happen twice in 6 months to him. I’ve never really included the City in this before which is why this latest stabbing is very concerning. |
