For some reason I just assumed those people who were arrested for online posts likely had huge followings and likely influenced events or made posts which gained traction. Looking at the replies, shares and likes they barely got any. Even views are low bar one which I presume spiked after this all got reported. It doesn't matter where you sit on the political divide. Surely people can recognise that while those are abhorrent things to say - those posts certainly weren't what incited the violence. There are many politicians, newspapers, TV channels, political activists/commentators who have contributed to these disturbances significantly more than this person. I despair at the amount of people supportive of some of these sentences while the actual shit stirrers will get off scoff free and continue to inflame tensions. I’m sure there’s agenda’s here from the 2 posters but to not send someone to prison for raping a 13 year old girl is staggering and setting a very worrying precedent. There is simply no defence for what he’s done. In relation to the rioter he deserves to go to prison. Both should receive sentences. |

Unbelievable. Edit: I've no issues in terms of the fact that the man doesn't need 68k to replace a car and money could benefit others. However the fundraiser was for him specifically, not for police officers and others. So to raise money under false pretenses is wrong. I donated to a man who's shop was destroyed in Belfast. He probably will get more than he needs and thats fine, I hope he is generous with it. But I'd be annoyed if I found out the person raising the money suddenly decided he was only getting £5k and they were deciding where my money went. That's not how it works. You can always close your fundraiser upon reaching a target if you think only a specific amount is needed. |

LBC did an in-depth piece on the rape (from over a decade ago btw) the other day. It's far more complex than the simple dog whistle being retweeted by Musk , but yes, despite the guy shown having been 15 at the time of the offence and the girl saying she was 15 he was lucky to escape jail. |

Sad iq khan needs removing from office immediately.
This could potentially have a massive impact on tourism and also impact on the retail trade as fewer people will feel safe in the capital even in broad daylight.

Take with a pinch of salt as I can't provide verification, but I'm hearing a few interviews that the attacker was acting oddly near to the scene for quite a while beforehand. And by acting oddly it's looking like some sort of deeply disturbed person as opposed to someone with a clear motive.
Also hearing some contradictory recounting of events to the "hero muslim" one that the MSM are keen to promote. It's sounding more like a group of people halted the attack; and that might include the bloke who the MSM are keen to hail as the hero.
