Considering Europe's elite were after him, its a bit of underwhelming move for him. Good luck to him though, better chance of progressing at Stuttgart than here.

forget about him now he as gone trained at chelsea for a few days and they did not think he was worth a chance, It’s nothing personal, but I just become indifferent to any player who doesn’t want to play for Stoke. Obviously, as a lifelong fan I find it really difficult to understand why you wouldn’t, but I’m completely biased and beyond balanced and objective reasoning when it comes to the club. Therefore, I adopt an approach of couldn’t care less about all of these players. I don’t hold a grudge or anything like that, more a case of I’d rather invest my emotional support and thoughts into those players who do want to play for Stoke City whilst the others...who cares?

If he was that good, he could have kept his head down and got more goals. So he goes to Stuttgart, which is not exactly big time or next level, so he is still going to have to go up that level to 'elite' clubs. Either Stuttgart offered the best guarantee of first team football or the best contract. There must have been a lump sum cash incentive as there is not a great deal different to 2 years in Stoke youth than Stuttgart youth. He has now the added difficulty of relocating to a new country and proving himself to Stuttgart. That said, Good luck to the lad.

He is a Dutch lad and probably thinks he has a better chance, in German football, of catching the eye of the Netherlands coach. I have no idea of how many Dutch players are with clubs in the BUndesliga. If it is a significant number, then they may well be 'monitored' more frequently than those with clubs over here.(however few/many that is?). Of course, it could be money, family, geography etc etc etc.........

Stuttgart are a Bundesliga club with a 60000 seater ground. What a shite move 😂 What is it about German clubs and their managers/head coaches? Watford seems to be the butt of English jokes (changing their managers more times than their socks etc etc) but Stuttgart would seem to have had 23 changes of head coach since 2000. Hope the one who has impressed Sankoh stays long enough for the lad to improve and rise in the ranks - could be tough if a replacement coach doesn't rate him before he has got his senior chance.

It’s just the way they work isn’t it. The club has a mindset and technical director and gets a coach to fit that. Makes way more sense than having a manager do it and then you’re fucked when they leave. But they have been a club who have been playing way below where they should be hence that ridiculous number.

The DoF is given a blueprint of the ethos the club want to work to. They ensure that is embraced throughout the club from juniors to first team. They recruit players, coaches and indeed managers/head coaches to fit into that remitt and are not beholding to short term results. Coaches/managers indeed even DoF’s may be replaced but the ethos remains consistent.

Good luck to him, we offered him more money than stuttgart, definitely better choice for him career wise. O'neill would have tried farm him off to Farsley celtic

O'neill would have tried farm him off to Farsley celtic ...what like all the other kids he's farmed off into our first team you mean? It's frustrating, because I dare say Sankoh was further forward in his development than Norton was and with injuries, he would have got some game time this season.

For me with how this season has gone he should have played 15-20 times and I think if he was still and hadn't have played that much it would be criminal. I don't for one second think it would have happened.

If he was still here and if he hadn't played a certain amount, it would have been criminal but also it wouldn't have happened anyway. Think we're into impossible to know territory here.

ANOTHER opportunity missed Can't agree sorry. He would have been mad not to make the move. The only chance we would have had imo is if we were in the PL and said he'd get game time this season. Stuttgart is easily a better pathway than us in the Championship with whoever in charge.

We can see it happening with Coates though. It's just frustrating seeing good young players not given a shot but the proven useless experienced ones still get the game time.

We need a more progressive coach whether they're British or not.

And hopefully he will use Collins properly soon.
