Keep digging dont worry though momentum are here hold their beer It's true though. In my working class hovel when I'm not tending to my pigeons or sleeping with my sister I refer to most things as "scum". "Scum" this and "scum" that, it's just what we do. "Morning vicar you absolute scumbag" I say jovially, and he laughs and calls me a nonce before giving me a blessing. Thanks for finally giving us a voice Angela........

Keep digging dont worry though momentum are here hold their beer She really is a nasty piece of work isn't she. As bad as this Conservative (very unconservative) government are, Labour are somehow in even more of a mess. Does anyone actually have a clue what Labour stand for anymore given the multiple different factions within the party? With this Conservative party showing similar levels of incompetence and integrity, we desperately reform in parliament - Excuse the pun 😉 She is the epitome of why Labour will not overthrow the Tories. Lovely language for a politician - even more so from a deputy leader. Could you imagine language like that at the G7 or similar if she was PM.

In truth I wouldn’t use Scum in any context, horrible angry type of word and good old Ang is showing her true colours here, with her thick Northern accent trying to back track by saying it’s a common term up North...
No it’s not Ang it’s just as you’re as common as shit with some sort of anger issue.
“Let me contextualise it. It's a phrase that you would hear very often in northern working class town ... we'd even say it jovially to other people."
What a lying gutter mouth fool, Jovially yes right...
I’m struggling to think of the last time I used that word, nope but perhaps I’m not working class or far enough up north.
There’s s couple of scummy Geordies at work I’ll be ringing jovially in the morning though “Morning Scum good weekend” ??

I wouldn't have said common this is not an upbringing thing it's intellect now if you had said thick as shit that would be hard to argue with, of course that's not unique across all the benches, I think she is a certain type of Labour like the serial loser Piddick stuck in the era of coal mines and pit closures. There is some hope for Labour but when you hear the list of potential leaders Ange, Wes Streeting, Rebecca Wrong Daily, Zarah Sultana and no doubt Jess Phillips putting Jess Phillips forward it looks a long way back Nandy and Burnham (once he becomes an Mp again) are probably the best of a bad bunch

She’s a disgrace and she’s got form for it There’s no place for gutter talk in politics If anyone’s scum she is And a prime reason why Labour are destined for years in opposition I mean what was the main topic at Labours conference. How they elect members. FFS it’s not as though there’s nothing important going on is it

The left have always had a problem with their absolute derisory attitude towards Tory voters. Its a democracy, people are entitled to vote for whoever they like and you don't change minds through insults.
Labour have a long time in opposition ahead in my opinion. Starmer is a safe pair of hands and he'll stop the rot but hes dull and inspires nobody. Someone like Rayner would be far worse of course.

He'll attract Labour voters who detest BoJo but didnt fancy the 'shit or bust' economic stragey that was on offer by Corbyn. Nowhere near enough to get near government but the party will narrow the gap and he'll do what Howard did for the Tories after their (even worse) annihilation by Tony Blair. I suspect Andy Burnham will be next in line though they'll be very keen to find a female candidate.

But it won't go down well with those who'd rather see a Labour Party packed with unelectable characters and policies. England is a right wing country, simple as that. The best any non-Tory voter is going to get for the foreseeable future is a Blairite Labour centrist party, one which doesn't threaten English right-wingers too much, nor the right-wing media. We've got at least another ten years of these lot to go first, heaven help us!

You'd assume as a labour party member she would probably voting Labour regardlesss so she is not going to affect his poll numbers. Just £85 billion for the green new deal she wants on top of the hundreds of billions or even trillions already committed at some point when these costs start reaching voters politicians might actually start to scrutinise these doomsday predictions that are based on some very questionable forecasts, no doubting climate change is real but this unchallenged orthodoxy has the feel of being based on as much science as lockdowns were.

Elaborate just how he's a "safe pair of hands" and how he'll "stop the rot" if you would? I’m not big into my politics but who would you have as Labour leader? I think if you wanted someone who would take some of the popular policies from the Corbyn era and add a bit of personality sadly lacking in Starmer then Andy Burnham would be the obvious choice. But if whoever it is can't unite the party of all the tedious infighting then it doesn't really matter. Truth be told I think the Labour Party is dead........

Is this why Angela Raynor thinks Tories are scum? Wow, really showed Rayner how to speak in public there. Made me wonder how much Angela claimed in expenses compared to my local MP My MP (Conservative) £75,309.83 Angela Rayner (Labour) £216,941.83 - which included £715.20 so she could print from two computers to one printer. Did that in my house for £4.99
She doesn't seem to me to be a very nice person although I wouldn't lower myself to start slinging insults at her but then I live south of Manchester so I'm probably one of those southern softies.

She seems nice, momentum certainly picked some character, Jared O'mara who is up court for election offences, the ex mp from peterboro who tried to give a speeding ticket to her brother, the guy from brighton, the mp cleared of housing fraud for living in a flat she was not entitled to yet continues to live there thats before you get onto the 10 a penny antisemites and cranks.
