Yes. Absolutely. Someone owns the rights to that clip, probably sky, and the BBC chose not to pay the figure to get access to that clip. Must be a rights thing, did you notice they didn't show Keegan's rant either, just Fergies wind up. I don't think they own either of them. The kick was shown on the BBC at the time wasn’t it? On MOTD hence the clip of Des and Lineker? But I’ve watched a few things on various channels and they never show it. I think (and this is a guess) that it’s down to some legal issue. The Keegan interview was with Sky so they won’t have that.

Brilliant yet again. I was hoping for a small clip of Ric and Griffin after the Dyer vs Bowyer incident, but we're only small Stoke I suppose!

Ironically this incident did his reputation no harm. In some ways it enhanced his persona.

Still doesn't rule it out being a rights thing, I can understand the BBC being willing to pay for the clip then when it was the biggest sports story going, but not wanting to pay for it now. When life gets going again, I may be able to find out, a member of my erstwhile quiz team buys programs for the BBC, so he will possibly know.

The Cantona incident was on some TV program not so long ago, can't remember exactly what program it was though. It might have been one of those dodgy "Shocking moments of the 90's" type things, but I definitely saw it.

They’ve just don’t top 10 foreign imports in the PL and didn’t have Aguero in there I'm a bit slow in seeing this and replying (don't know if anyone else has) but it was European import, they even said in the podcast they were likely to do another one for South America and the rest of the world.

However, that doesn't mean they had the perpetual rights to it, just that they had the rights to show it then. If they weren't the copyright owners then there are lots of different deals that could have been done.
Like I said, I'll try and find out some facts on this at some stage, but I'm aware that if I publish them, I run the risk of being banned from this board.

Ah ok, I only caught the last few. South Americans haven't really thrived in the PL have they? Edersen, Alisson and Firmino I guess are the only ones who come close to Aguero?

It'll be a rest of the world one because there's been a lot of Africans. Toure brothers, Drogba, Mane, Salah, Okocha maybe? And then players like Son from Asia or Dempsey from America and Cahill from Australia.. be quite a good discussion on who gets in the top 10 actually.

Gabriel Heinze for another South American? Always very underrated for me. Kanu another African. And not in the same class as the above but they had some fantastic indivudal seasons, Benjani, Benni McCarthy and Roque Santa Cruz.

Although I have question marks over Sanchez but I bet his record for Arsenal was actually really good? I think if he hadn't joined Man Utd I think he would be regarded higher, which is unfair really. His and Suarez records aren't massively far apart really. Suarez - 110 games 69 goals Sanchez - 122 games 60 goals (for Arsenal)

But both of those records are pretty phenomenal.
