That would take us to 51 points. Gouranga.

I feel like the seven and eight point gaps we have respectively over Luton and Barnsley will keep us ahead of them and can’t see Hull picking up many more points.
I think nine will do it, maybe fewer even.

It’s so tight I would ceartainly hope we get quite a few more. There is no reason why we should not.
Let’s not get carried away by today’s result. Hull looked like a poorly organised Sunday morning pub team.

After the last month of the sides at the bottom all winning suspect we will see then reverting to losing again over the next month.
Hull look absolute certainties to go down
48 points to stay up, which is higher than usual
Stoke will get 52/53 points

Hull look like we did in the first 10 games. 9 goals shipped in 2 games and a manager admitting their mentality is shot. Hit the slippy slope at just the right time.

As it stands at the moment, if the league finished today, you would need 40 points to stay up after 37 games, which over 46 games would equate to 50 points.
That obviously doesn't take into account what is likely to happen based on any recent form.

Could well be, but lets target last season's points tally. We've already won more games than last season.

I'm sure mon has told them the next target is reducing that 5 point gap to the team above us. Currently we are sitting top of the relegation mini league so we must drive on and get into mid table. Win at reading and boro at home will really set us up well before we go to wigan. Hoping we can overcome the complacency mentality that usually stops us from improving.

I'll be amazed if it isn't three from the current bottom four ... Hull, Charlton, Barnsley and Luton and just possibly 'Boro.

I think nine will do it, maybe fewer even. Barnsley at QPR next, I think we're fairly well clear of the bottom 2 and the GD an extra point. The point at Luton doesn't look too bad now as stopped them closing any kind of gap although a game we should have won easily but it happens. By no means safe but looking a lot healthier, Allen will be a huge miss but we have plenty to see us over the line barring a collapse which we have no sign of doing.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the loser of Hull-Charlton next week doesn’t win another game all season.
A couple of wins will see us safe I’m sure, although we want to put it to bed nice and early if we can.....

I still think Butlands unnecessary nervousness when a game is tight could still be a problem, as it reverberates through the entire back 4.

At the same time our back 4 aren't commanding enough either. We really need that player who will attack everything like Steve Walsh used to do for Leicester or Huth for us. Easier said than found though to be fair

You know what..... regardless of how many points we need, we easily have what it takes to stay-up.
Lets not forget how much of a remarkable achievement this would be after being rock-bottom for so long, not to mention the ill-fated Christmas statistic for clubs at the bottom of the league getting relegated. I know its not all over yet, but I really feel we have built some decent foundations for the first time in a long time !!

I may be wrong but I think we are only THREE points above the drop zone !!! So let’s not get carried away by yesterday’s fabulous result.
Don’t know what the fixtures look like but hope that some of the teams below us are playing each other and so they can have some dog eats dog results to our advantage.
Stating the obvious, we just need to win games and hopefully pull away. It is far from over but I believe we are to good to go down. Hopefully that is realism and not optimism. Buttocks clenched.

With only 9 games left both Barnsley and Luton need 3 games to catch us which I think is too much for them and having watched Hull yesterday I can't see anyway they will catch us. For me winning our next two home games will as good as done the job.

Leeds is going to be rank but I don't find it remotely hard to see us winning any of the others to be honest. So many Jekyll and Hyde teams in this division which are a total crap shoot, Brentford for instance will either smash us 5-0 or look barely capable of playing football.
