This thread contains the absolute worst of Stoke fans and people. Have any of you achieved anything of note? We’re all geniuses when we’re sat behind a keyboard. Good on them for fronting up again at the forum. They’re not perfect but it could be a damn sight worse. What have they said so wrong!? Pick any idiot off here and they'd struggle to spend 224M and take us as far backwards as the current owners and directors have, and certainly in the time frame they have. I still can't believe John dolled out that figure so casually this evening. It's not about being a keyboard warrior, or about achieving anything in life more than seeing our situation for what it is, and expecting the directors to say a bit more than "What situation?" when asked a very simple question about our situation at left back that has been present for the last few years, for example. Take your pick for the rest.

If I was minded to stick up for the prick, I would argue that we have two left backs on the book... the fact that they are beyond wank is immaterial, even the manager prefers a Belgium international centre back in that position. But on paper we have ward and Tyson both left backs in name only. Shite in reality.

People need to get over Imbula, Saido and Wimmer. Constant questions are just embarrassing, for both parties. It's pretty obvious they know they have royally fucked up.

What situation
Sums up his tenure to date , as does. For £1m a year I’ve didn’t know there were no coaches , he doesn’t run the stadium , he doesn’t run the football , and yet he’s totally out of tune with the supporters , the issues with the team and hideously over paid as well as bewilderingly incompetent .
Only because John who actually needs help is determined that his castle won’t be inconvenienced by good business practice has this utter waste of 224 million pounds under this chief executive been allowed to happen .
A Night which shone a light on what many could see for years the core issue sits in the boardroom and it’s lack if challenge , balance , football knowledge and acceptance of sustained failure by those considered as mates .

I think that what pisses a few of us off though, is that rather than admit an obvious fuck up - we have been given "What crisis", "The process is good", "changes will be made" .... etc.

We've got a good manager and owners who want to invest. We could be a lot worse off.
All Stoke fans want to do is rake over the past, nothing ever changes. It's a trait of the City as a whole. Yes, Scholes is a tosser and needs to go but it looks like he's here for ever and a day. Suck the mop.

Michael, what do you think about the song about you drinking Guinness and whisky?MON (laughing): I’d hoped they would be singing about my tactical genius or motivational skills. They are stereotyping Irishmen there! I’ve never drank whisky in my life and only drink Guinness in Belfast. I’d much rather they sing about the team, to be honest, but it seems to have caught on, and hopefully it will die out! I have noticed that the song tends to die out when we are behind - maybe that’s the secret - I didn’t hear it at Derby for instance. Your best team, Michael?MON: I knew it after about three or four weeks in the building. Consistency of selection, system and on the training pitch is what we’ve tried to do. Tony, is Benik Afobe a done deal to Bristol City?TS: No it isn’t. Benik is back in training and the loan to Bristol is still in place. The loan expires at the end of June and as things stand he returns to us. Interesting about Afobe. The player was clearly happy to move and was enjoying a much better relationship with the fans at Ashton Gate than he was with us. Any clues as to who he is training with or WHY it won’t be a done deal as that was clearly the original intention? BM

BM He’s continuing his rehab at Bristol where he will remain until the end of the season. He has a chance of being fit enough to play next month apparently. He then returns to us for preseason, unless Bristol wish to buy him. I think MON could get a tune out of Benik, he’s a good player at Championship level.

“TS: 'As a Club we have always backed the manager. There was an awful lot of good signings that we backed Mark (Hughes) with”
1. ”An awful lot of good players” Name them! 2. “An awful lot of good players” where are they plying their trade now i.e Wollscheid and those named above 3. ”An awful lot of good players” Name all of those other than Arnautovic that left at a profit for SCFC Name those that went on better themselves professionally after leaving SCFC. Those named below plus Joselou etc. Provide an insight to, and “costs” involved of failure of the likes Bony, Guidetti, Jese, Van Ginkel etc. Was Johnson value for money? 4. ”An awful lot of good players” Explain the £12m signing of Saido Berahino with his Known track record of drugs and misbehaviour
Perhaps I’m being overly critical. IMHO TS was at the helm/ forefront of our disastrous recruitment strategy and its implementation that led to our inevitable demise In the event that I am wrong I apologise, but let him prove me wrong

How have we landed O'Neill? I love the bloke.

It's our company so we can do what we want . Mmm

He completely missed the point about over paying for players and refused to answer the question about whether they’d have to write down huge sums again at the end of this season.
