Tony, could we have got a fee for Imbula? Laughter.
TS: We were very happy with the deal we did on Imbula in January.
What happened to the link up with Orlando City? TS: The relationship with other clubs depends on the clubs’ needs and the characters at the clubs, and the ownership and management changed at Orlando.
Is next season do-or-die for promotion because of parachute payments ending? JC: We are continuing to support the club however we are able to do it, that’s all I can say.
Would you be as devastated as everyone in the room if we dropped out of the Championship? TS: Every single bad result hurts.
Trust me, there’s not a lot of joy and happiness travelling back after a loss.
Is the Premier League goal and how quickly are we hoping to be back there? MON: I wouldn’t have taken the job if I didn’t believe the club and John and his family didn’t have that ambition.
With relegation comes a lot of complications and where we find ourselves now is testament to that.
Of course you want to be back sooner rather than later, but the key is a stability and then you’re in a position to try and get back and we are on our way to doing that.
Any conversations I’ve had with John and Tony is about stabilising in the Championship and then pushing on to the Premier League.
I know John doesn’t want to be here for 20 years watching Championship football.

Some of the answers to these questions are pure car crash, and I'm not talking about any that MON has answered. It's quite clear, from two of these events now, that there is no clear direction from either of these idiots in charge. It's clear yet again that everything is hanging on the manager with respect to recruitment, with the manager tonight virtually begging for help. It's now crystal clear how and why we've ended up in this mess and doubly clear to me how we get out of it. I've never been less confident in where this club is heading. They have not got a single clue. Stolen my thunder there mate. This is why we absolutely stand or fall by the quality of the manager, because there's nothing else there. The more Coates and Scholes contribute, the more uneasy I feel. We'll be fine while MON is here, but bloody hell.....

So long as MON is happy, I’m happy. As for the other two, just keep writing the cheques and leave the manager to the grown up stuff.

Why did a director get a pay increase of £155,000?JC: That’s not true. Accounts can say many things and Tony (Scholes) did not get such a pay increase. Then why not simply say who it was that received the increase? The figure disclosed in the accounts is the total value of salaries and benefits, so for example pension contributions that arent "paid" to the employee, could include bonuses etc etc The correct question would have been why did the package increase by asking about pay as if it was just salary it allows the question to be answered and avoided. And besides without going over old ground the package was reduced significantly in the year of relegation.

How can you justify £12m and a five-year contract for Berahino? TS: With hindsight, we got it wrong.
It’s not fair to lay the blame on other people, especially when they are not here (Mark Hughes).
We sign the players the manager wants, but doesn’t mean the manager takes all the blame when they go wrong, or all the credit when they go wrong.
I will say there were an awful lot of good signings as well that Mark was backed on.
Has new goalkeeping coach, Dave Rouse, improved Jack Butland? MON: He’s not been flawless in the 22 games we’ve had and he’s still getting back to his best and I think David Rouse will play a big part in that.
I felt that was one area I thought could be refreshed and David Rouse came highly recommended after working at Manchester City for many years.
Jack has suffered from relegation and losing his place in the England squad, but what I don’t see is a player not trying to get back to that level.
I think David Rouse is a coach who’s spent a lot of time identifying young goalkeepers and Joe Bursik is showing a lot of potential on loan at Accrington.

And so are salaries, the highest paid director disclosure is just that it discloses the total amounts paid and the cost of any benefits provided.

Good to see Bursik getting a mention, especially when the question didn't really include him. Shows he is in the managers thinking for next season.

No not necessarily and the fact they have said several times he didn't get a payrise of £155k. I'll give you one example a company I worked for relocated from London to Yorkshire, they rented and paid for a flat for the CEO it was disclosed as part of his remuneration package an increase of £30k but he didnt get an extra £30k. In scholes case it was mentioned as being something to do with pensions from memory.

My point though is that if was "something to do with pensions", why didn't the Note for Pension rise by £155k?

This thread contains the absolute worst of Stoke fans and people. Have any of you achieved anything of note? We’re all geniuses when we’re sat behind a keyboard.
Good on them for fronting up again at the forum. They’re not perfect but it could be a damn sight worse. What have they said so wrong!?
