There seems to be an emerging story that from 2010 Man City were Funded by sponsorship from the Abu Dhabi government rather than the Etihad airline as stated- hotly disputed by the owners...who run the Government through an Executive Board...this is breaking this evening , story posted on the Guardian this evening at 17.06
This would put our beef with Arsenal in the shade and would possibly mean the club have won all of their honours dishonestly

i tend to think they beat us fair and square on the pitch. It was a good day out but we were second best.

First FACup final in 147 years and no real fight given the occasion , a bit like llast Saturday really, but not as bad

And Sorensen made some excellent saves, keeping us in the game

First FACup final in 147 years and no real fight given the occasion , a bit like llast Saturday really, but not as bad We were decimated by injury, missing good players and three started who wouldn't have done had it been a league game. Also Pennant got an injury early doors and played the 90.

Short memory most of our ungrateful fans have. Seem to remember us picking up lot's of injuries to key players and lots of players playing with injuries against the millionaire’s.
Jones missed a sitter in the 2nd half for us to take the lead the rest was history, but not sure we could have done much better given our circumstances.

Maybe we'll get presented the trophy on the last day of the season?
Should take the edge off relegation.

i tend to think they beat us fair and square on the pitch. It was a good day out but we were second best. It's a respectable point of view, but if Citeh turned up with I don't know how many players they bought with irregular money, then it wasn't fair and square.

The best argument I have read against ffp is that it is designed to keep "new" money clubs out.

They kicked us from here to Kingdom Come, specifically targeting our crocked players, all under a safe haven provided by that cheating spunk bubble and fraud, Martin Atkinson.
Yeah, I think they cheated us.

Be nice to think that the Premier League, FA or whoever will be as firm with Manchester City as the Rugby Union authorities have been with Saracens.
However I'm not holding my breath.

We tried our best but they were better, simple as that really. Turning it into some sort of bitter "Cheated!" narrative is a bit classless and small-time in my opinion, especially since this stupid FFP rule shouldn't really exist anyway.

I think the same and if they give it to us now we havnt 'won' it at all. They beat us on the day and that's football. Other than that throw the book at them đź‘Ť

Kenwyne Jones just failed to get on to the end of a through ball minutes before Man City scored the winner. I don't recall any sitters missed.

It's a respectable point of view, but if Citeh turned up with I don't know how many players they bought with irregular money, then it wasn't fair and square. Full team we were more than capable of beating them. Wasn't to be. You're missing the point. The game you and everybody else watched was fake. Players like Balotelli, Silva, Tevez, Toure et al were bought for irregular money, so they shouldn't have played. Instead we would have lined up vs Johnson, Zabaleta and others. We might still have lost...
