Get rid of Ince and Vokes and put Diouf and Verlinden in. And dump Clucas and McLean too and replace them with Thompson and the new boy Oakey. I want three points and not another shocker like the 4-0 Derby thrashing. And as for the very inconsistent and over-rated Butland .... I'd prefer to field Federici. We are still a powerful side and capable of stringing along 10 wins in a row. So don't fuck it all up again, like the demolition at Derby. No fucking excuses. Hello Nathan God willing

Vokes is more use at home than away. Diouf should be starting on Wednesday as he’s the only one who comes close to what Campbell does. Campbell looked shattered after 50 minutes yesterday and that’s completely expected. He was rubbing the back of his right thigh a lot too. We need to protect him and use him wisely. Why do you think the last 3 managers have rarely even used him as a bit player though? O Neil at least mentioned him the other week though, why not try n'goy though? I have no idea. I like Ngoy but I don't think he's better than Diouf and better suited on the left at this stage. Diouf offers everything we need in a striker and is better than all comers bar Campbell and even then his all round game is imo better. I find it very odd.

Diouf with Gregory and one winger (take your pick) could be a genuinely worthwhile option, but it won't happen. I think MON is ignoring Mame because he knows he's off in May, whereas Gregory is tied to a contract, whether we want him or not. Don't agree with this but can see why he'd think like that.

Stoke to win again 3-1. I think they are hitting the target better and confidence is high. They need to punish PNE for the drumming they gave us last time. I think Vokes will score too when he gets on.

MON's presser sounds like a "same again" team tomorrow. Maybe another home win and he will tinker for Saturday's away day - bring in Cousins to solidify the middle and rest Nick, swap a winger to give Tibo a run out and even give Gregory a game to rest Tye after his hamstring problem?

Good side Preston are, we’ll need to be at our best but our recent form minus the blip at Derby has definitely given us enough confidence to go into the game believing we can win. UTP

Vokes has a goal every 4 games record this season....not that impressive but better than a goal ever 4 visits of Halley's Comet. This season Diouf has one goal in 56 minutes on the pitch! Not enough time to prove too much, but this season he has some evidence that he is our most efficient scorer! (Stats prior to Charlton game - Ince McLean and Powell will have improved their numbers somewhat.) Diouf . 56 minutes per goal HOGAN 129 Campbell 135 Vokes. 332 Clucas. 367 McLean. 414 Powell. 717 Ince. 1816 Diouf is crap, should be nowhere near the team, he would of been sold if anyone was daft enough to pay his wages

For all his faults I still believe Diouf has been criminally underused for 2 seasons He most definitely has. Some of the shit we’ve seen and he’s hardly been used. In his cameo earlier this season he won more headers than Vokes has done all season, scored a goal but then wasn’t seen again. I don’t get it. Kin'ell you talk as if he's scored some spectacular volley from the other side of Fenton, it was a tap in for christ sakes, I was surprised he didn't miss.

Difficult match tonight.
Would definitely take a point.
Bogey team are Preston.
No doubt Gallagher will play and score.

I'm not sure how accurate soccerway is on formations but in the last 15 games when a team has matched Preton’s favoured 4-2-3-1 with a 4-2-3-1 of their own they’ve only won one in 1 in 8 games.
Preston North End vs. Swansea City DrawBlackburn Rovers vs. Preston North End DrawPreston North End vs. Norwich City LossCardiff City vs. Preston North End DrawPreston North End vs. Luton Town Win Preston North End vs. West Bromwich Albion LossHull City vs. Preston North End Loss (4-0) Derby County vs. Preston North End Loss It seemed ok before that.
It doesn't prove anything but it's an interesting trend I hope we contribute to.

That Charlton result is a kick in the teeth. They were fortunate in playing a much changed Forest who shot themselves in the foot by not going for the 3 points on offer. I hope Cardiff can get something at Huddersfield and that we're on it tonight to take us that much further away from Wigan in particular, given that Luton and Barnsley look gone.

Surely they should have played their strongest side at home against Charlton to guarantee 3 points as near as damnit and then consider the Baggies game thereafter. Their manager admits he made a mistake.
