Good to see them sticking to tried and trusted failed politics of the far left another ten years of pain to come. i'm not even sure the labour party as we know it will be around in 10 years time, i think there are too many entrenched factions within it for it to function properly.

So for the Lefty's on the Oatie who should be the next labour leader?
Can your party wrestle its self from the far Left Maomentum acolytes?
Viewing from the other side of the chamber it looks like a bit of a shitshow at present.

Based on some of the comments on here, they don't want to.

Starmer....another one who still disputes the country’s choice on Brexit....Boris will be quaking in his boots.

Starmer....another one who still disputes the country’s choice on Brexit....Boris will be quaking in his boots. But Brexit is done now. In 5 years time, we'll be out of the EU. What else has Boris got in his locker to fight Labour? We'll have had more austerity and cuts, and the country will be ready to go back to Labour. Starmer is also a far superior opponent to Boris than Jezza ever could be.

Starmer a European Union loving smug lawyer sitting in a safe London seat What's not to love for the voters in Labour heartlands

I am starting to think Keir Starmer might be the best choice.
I know he's the wrong gender but he looks reasonably sane and I think that could work well as folks inevitably tire of Johnson's routine.
The other contenders look a bit crackers to me.

Guess we'll see how much Starmer tries to frustrate Brexit as we go through new relationships and future trade deals.
Personally I think the next leader has to be a Labour leaver if its to have any chance but things could be very different in 5 years

As much as the Murdoch press want to put her forward as the next leader she’s hasn’t got a cat in hells chance..... I think its Jess putting Jess forward as always and it seems Wrong Daily is a billy bullshitter even the mildest investigation seems to have caught her out lying over her docker father and the actual length of her membership of the Labour party.

Jess Phillip's constituency voted Leave, and even though she constantly voted against Brexit in Parliament, they voted her back in at the Election. Dumb Brummies.

As much as the Murdoch press want to put her forward as the next leader she’s hasn’t got a cat in hells chance..... Er.... she's putting herself forward. These were her words not those of the "Murdoch press". She uttered them on the BBC. This tweet is from the Left leaning Polhome site. Jeez it must be tiring to see 'Murdoch' behind every single column inch.

I wonder if this is true? Big difference if it is. All the more moderate candidates who have declared recently and encouraged members to join and vote for them will be a little upset.

Murdoch hasn't made her run for the leadership. Her words weren't written by Murdoch. The BBC isn't controlled by Murdoch. Polhome isn't controlled by Murdoch. In what sane way could you associate Murdoch with this news piece?

I didn't associate the BBC interview with Murdoch, the reason I mentioned Murdoch was because there was a spate of interviews with Phillips in the press, I'm sure you saw the ones where she was dolled up to the nines and coming out with "controversial" quotes. Hence why I said "As much as the Murdoch press want to put her forward......." The BBC interview was more her talking about herself and coming out with a load of shite as usual.......

Just to clarify the "Murdoch press" doesn't refer to Rupert himself authorising every interview, doing every interview and proof reading the final draft but then I think you know that. The interviews I'm referring to were in The Times, The Sunday Times (and possibly the supplement I'd have to check). I know you think that our press is free and fair and exerts no influence and does a fantastic job of self regulating roger, I'm a bit more cynical it seems......
