Comment from Millwall forum today on Woods "Opinion on him is divided on here with some thinking he is the ‘ginger Pirlo’ and others thinking that he is one of Snow White’s friends. His form this season for us is also a factor. If he really can lead the midfield and hit some telling passes which lead to goals then signing him could be a foregone conclusion. If he plays too deep, gets caught with the ball and plays like an extra defender then he could be on his bike in June. There is also the thought about the shedload he gets each week with his present contract. I am not sure we could pay a fortune to keep him." There is some debate about him dropping too deep (most think this is Rowett's doing) and being more effective further up the pitch. They don't seem too averse to him though. I like Pirlo/Snow White ref! Better than we currently have, doesn't seem to have an attitude problem elsewhere. 🤷♂️ More telling than not. He's not better than what we've got. He's wank. I'd prefer any of our existing options over him.

I’m increasingly looking at these loan players and wondering two things. 1. Do we have better already at the club? 2. When we move them on, how confident are we that the club will actually bring in better players? So, in the case of Woods, is he worse than Thompson, Cousins, Allen, or Mikel? I genuinely don’t think he is. I genuinely think he is. Would prefer any and all of those ahead of woods.

I’m not saying Woods is any good particularly, but for me he’s no worse then the current midfield incumbents. I just see a list of ostracised footballers out on loan, and I don’t think some are any worse than the players who have come in to replace them.

They’ve generally been disappointing for us but have their replacements been any better? Will we genuinely be able to sign better in the summer? I’m not sure...

Any player who comes into training every day counting down the days to the next transfer window to his teammates as Woods did can fuck off The one player who is definitely better is Badou and perhaps Etebo but the fact is they don't want to be here and made that clear to the manager on his first day.

I heard that too re. Woods but I’m not sure why he would act like that? He was put straight into the team by MoN when he first arrived and his loans since have hardly been step ups have they? Again, I’m not saying he’s great, I just don’t think we’ve signed better since.

Woods....hadn’t seen him play before he joined, Afobe.....as Woods except ITV Sport (1 minute clips on a Monday night) and Ince....Sky matches etc. A personal take on three. Nowhere near the quality required to return SCFC to a real promotion contender. Millwall, some Turkish side and Luton tells you the quality, ambition of the manager involved in their signatures. Does that reflect on his backers. circa £25m worth of quality.....😂😂😂😂

Mikel can't last 45 mins, Thompson is the invisible man who's league one standard and Clucas and Allen are both the wrong side of 30 and are on stupid money and offer very little.
