I thought you might be able to see High Seat, Raven Crag and Watson’s Dodd? Just started my Wainwrights- done 39 since lockdown eased! The ridge of High Rigg blocks my view of High Seat and Raven Crag. I climbed Raven Crag the day before yesterday as it happens. I can see Castle Rock from my Garden about half a mile to the south and that is on the lower slopes of Watson's Dodd so I can see a bit of Watson's Dodd. My first round of Wainwright's took me 45 years. My second round (after I moved up here) took me 7 months - and I stopped counting after my 4th round - mainly because there are some I never want to do again! EDIT: A lady VET from Ambleside did all the Wainwrights in 6 days and 17 hours last week!!!!!! I reckon I did about 60-70 in 50 years since my first one! So I have reset the counter to nil and am hoping to do them all over two summers.

He’s finally worked what some of us having been saying for a long time: the best combination up-front is Volkes and Gregory. Why Jones didn’t persist with them is a major head-scratcher.

Have you read what u just posted I really think MON is light years ahead of u in what the team needs and he has delivered the impossible

He’s finally worked what some of us having been saying for a long time: the best combination up-front is Volkes and Gregory. Why Jones didn’t persist with them is a major head-scratcher. I don't think he has that at all. Gregory came in to do a specific job, which wasn't that great vs. BristolC, but which worked very well vs Brentford, even if he hadn't scored, He was played as a defensive forward, which is his thing, since he's not so good at other aspects of a forward's role. It was augmented by McClean, on his side, playing even more defensively (and still running forward non stop). But I don't see O'Neill wanting us to play with defensive forwards all season next season. Well I hope not!!! Moreover if he did use those players, but not that actual formation, he would be excluding Campbell, and also Verlinden, once he's fit. Not very likely. He would even be excluding Ince, which some would applaud (me included), but I have a feeling O'Neill hasn't given up on him just yet. Gregory would have to add a lot to his game to be considered as a must-start forward. To be honest, at 32 when the new season starts, I think it will be too big an ask. I would hope that one of the few signings we make this year is fairly youthful goalscoring striker, age 23-26, one who is mobile and is likely to combine well with Campbell, Verlinden, and Powell. Vokes and Gregory, if they even stay, can only be back up, or to be used vs very specific opponents.

14 days off for the first teamers then.
Short break but enjoy it lads. We've got a promotion campaign to run next season...

Note to interviewer, if it's your turn to speak, then transfer the microphone to you.

Prutton has a go at our players in that for high fiving each other against Brentford! Bit harsh but making the point nothing to celebrate this season.

He's a keeper is MoN. Great interview and realistic assessment of us moving fwd.
I'll admit, I had my doubts after a few post lockdown wobbles (Reading wasn't great, Wigan terrible and Leeds disappointing let's say) but i suspect that was just me being far too used to managers that are complete tossers.
As said elsewhere, we might not need too many changes to get the squad firing on all cylinders for next season.

Nice of him to name check Tony Scholes as an important reason on why he came to Stoke. Ignore the haters Tony, some of us know how important you are.

That interview is superb.
His ability to articulate the problems he faced on joining the club and what he did to address them indicates someone with a clear sense of purpose.

Looks like BBC 2 Northern Ireland is Channel 972 on Sky I’m pretty sure you can change the regions on the iPlayer too so for anyone without sky you should be able to watch.

I'd underestimated his playing career.
And Kevin Harper's just assisted him for a Hibs goal. Small world.
