Anyone else think he is a lot like Alex Ferguson? Think our relegation battle has made his face go red like Fergie’s.

Was anything interesting said? Excellent programme following his career as a schoolboy to his appointment with us The majority of the contents are associated with his playing career ( I didn’t realise his successes as an international footballer) and then his management with Northern Ireland He discusses his decision to take on the role here, very complimentary about our owners and the potential of the club I think it will be available on iPlayer

Benik isn't going anywhere judging on that interview. I very much doubt we'll sign a striker.

If be amazed if Benik went now. With Vokes, Campbell and Adobe you would assume that this is enough.

Benik isn't going anywhere judging on that interview. I very much doubt we'll sign a striker. Yeah - I'm not sure he's the answer, but only natural that MON is going to want a good look at a £12m investment who at least seems semi-salvageable, in terms of getting him up to a reasonable Championship standard, in relation to some of our damaged goods - especially when we're going to be shopping increasingly at Aldi. Certainly would think the chances of a striker arriving are tiny - with Vokes, Afobe, Campbell and Gregory here (even if Gregory goes which seems unlikely given his decent attitude, end of season and high wages?)

If he can get Benik Afobe firing, and more importantly, if Benik wants to stay then it will literally be like the proverbial new signing.
I'm interested in the key areas he talks about. My guess is a left back (pretty tough to gauge that one...), a centre half, a central midfielder and a right winger.

I agree with that good centre half, left back and DM the priority and with that solid base I think we have the rest to do pretty well. Of course another winger would help but when Verlinden back we could perhaps manage?

What a relief to finally have a manager with a calmness and belief about him.
If only we had a Chief Exec of similar calibre who we could trust to offload all the expensive failures and give Michael a chance in the transfer market...

Benik isn't going anywhere judging on that interview. I very much doubt we'll sign a striker. In fairness our goalscoring record under MON is promotion stuff so he probably thinks why tinker too much? Clucas, Allen and Powell should all be aiming for double figures if they play regularly, and with MON seemingly putting greater emphasis on set pieces our centre backs should be looking at 10 between them also.....

Obviously they will try and loan out or sell on the 7 loanees returning, do we think there are any others in or around the 1st team who may move/be moved on?.

Looks like Afobe, Campbell, Vokes and another? Don’t mind at all if it stays Gregory though?

If he's going to be in a wide position or play two up top then there will be room for another.
