What a manager. Think we may have dropped on a good one at last 👍
“It was hard earned, a tough game against a very good team but I thought for large portions we were the dominant team.”
He added: “We won’t be celebrating staying in the league regardless. That’s not something to celebrate. We’ll be relieved to stay in the league and then we can get to work to make sure this is something that doesn’t happen going forwards.

Next seasons team is going to be built around Clucas and Powell isn't it? And Allen Really? We need a DM to compliment Clucas and Powell. Allen should be sold and the funds used to sign a midfielder that can defend.

Can people stop banging on saying we took Powell off because the manager is negative now, rather than what was always a very obvious forced change? Pretty emphatic about how much he loves Powell there. He was always 50/50 to play with his calf injury, why would you risk a bigger injury. He missed a large part of the start of the season after Being hacked down by qpr resulting in a calf injury. I call it good management

That might happen, a Premier League club might see him as good value. However I think if no one comes in for him, also not unlikely, the manager will look at those 3 as his first choice midfield Transfer priorities are elsewhere.

GK LB DM All on an equal footing for me. Don’t get them and not much changes. Indeed we’ve needed all since relegation and beyond at least.

Vokes is not the answer moving forward, he's just do immobile, he can't even stretch unless the balls within a foot, if we can pick up Shankland for a decent fee I would go for him, a predatory finisher would turn those half chances into goals. We badly need that, we have so many wasted promising position's.

2nd bottom with 8 points from 10 games when M'ON arrived, the manager has done nothing less than work a bloody miracle to get us to 50 points with 2 games left Checked again - actually we were rock bottom with 8 points from 15 games when M'ON arrived. Miraculous that the manager has managed to get us to this point.

Both Allen and Clucas will no doubt be getting attention from lower Prem teams. Same with Tyrese.

That line about Davies giving confidence to the defence.. bye bye Jack. Jack does need a fresh start somewhere else! Hopefully we can get some millon pounds for him too! There is a decent keeper there, but he needs to rebuild his self confidence again. I think Jack will do very well somwhere else to be honest!

Irrespective of how good a manager he is (and he IS a good one) I enjoy his interviews more than I've enjoyed any Stoke manager's interviews for years. I've got fed up of managers who are always looking for excuses - I'd much rather have a manager who speaks with humility, honesty and integrity. Well done MON - you've made me a happy bunny.

Finally we have a grown up sensible manager. Players trust him too, which bodes well for next season.

He could be a bargain for a lot of clubs really!

They'll be able to get him on a Bosman next year, so £5M would be wasting money. I think he can be sold for very little, but with added-on fees.

I can see Skiddaw, Blencathra, Clough Head, Lonscale Fell and High Rigg. And if I walk 200 yards to the road I can see Helvellyn and I live ON the lower slopes of Great Dodd. Oh, and sunset isn't due for another 5 hours (ish) - apart from that, your description is spot on about the beer!

Just started my Wainwrights- done 39 since lockdown eased! The ridge of High Rigg blocks my view of High Seat and Raven Crag. I climbed Raven Crag the day before yesterday as it happens. I can see Castle Rock from my Garden about half a mile to the south and that is on the lower slopes of Watson's Dodd so I can see a bit of Watson's Dodd. My first round of Wainwright's took me 45 years. My second round (after I moved up here) took me 7 months - and I stopped counting after my 4th round - mainly because there are some I never want to do again! EDIT: A lady VET from Ambleside did all the Wainwrights in 6 days and 17 hours last week!!!!!!

As a Geographer, I am tempted to get my O.S. map out and do some back bearings to identify your cottage on the map. I too am enjoying a beer.
