Not a bad performance whatsoever and as somebody said further up, was probably the best of the midfield bunch. But I couldn't really figure him out. Does he sit or does he push forward? First half he seemed eager to get forward yet second half he sat more. I always thought he was a sitter but he played better when he pushed further forward I thought. He's basically a midfielder. Does a bit if everything.

Much has been said about Lasse Sorensons energy and running. Does he come from an athletic family? Is he named after 'Lasse' Viren the Finnish middle distance runner who won the 5,000 & 10,000 metres at both the 1972 and 1976 Olympics?

Makes the signing of Thompson look even more pointless imo. Annoyingly true Thompson has looked bang average and certainly not like someone who who will excel at this level

We've had all these players under our noses for ages, we should have been playing them more and more. They'll only get better.
We need to stop buying footballers for daft money who are no better than what we have.

Seems to have a mature head on young shoulders which also seem to have bulked out a little since that Swansea game. Hope he gets a fair chance to show what he can do.

We need to stop buying footballers for daft money who are no better than what we have. Couldn't agree more. In the old days coaches would be tasked with actually working with players and improving them and bringing them through to the first team. Now everyone (including fans) are obsessed with buying what we need. Often it's a failure and an expensive one. All those amazing players who came through to our first team from the 30s through to the early 80s came through this route. It wasn't luck or a freak.

His English is better than most English players. Seems a bright lad as well. Always a good thing. Very impressed.

Any new manager will look straight at the first team before the kids. They shouldn't IMO but they all do. What probably helps O'Neill is Andy Cousins, his scout/coach/analyst. He was doing a lot of youth scouting for Man City before he joined us, so probably already has a steer on a number of our youth players.

I thought he looked a bit lightweight when he came on against Preston last season (January 2019). 17 months on he looks stronger, more physical. Encouraging signs yesterday.

Was really impressed with Sorensen yesterday, was neat in possession and good set piece delivery. Definitely the future for us

His English is better than most English players. He's Danish. They learn about ten different languages, and the English they are taught is the Queen's English. Not many English people would know anything about that.

Regardless of what league we end up in next season, I really do think he will get to play an important part in the team.
He really impressed yesterday. Tidy in possession, seems to have a knack for set pieces and just seemed a really positive player. It's great to see one of our youngsters getting as much time as he did on the pitch.
Long may this continue.

It is important to give him regular games now to build confidence, but not burn him out.
