Am all for youngsters coming through but not kidding myself that they are an improvement on the current players and will improve the team by playing them. We're going to massively miss Joe Allen today against a team like Reading with experience in there is going to be tough. We saw when Allen went off v Hull the gap that was left and think Sorensen will have a job on his hands if he plays. Certainly has ability but a worry the lack of cover

Am sure we will next season. Certainly the best crop of youngsters in a long time

He’ll start today as Cousins is injured No it'll be Thompson and Clucas in the middle

Your answer to him suggested it Souttar can't get in because he's on loan, and getting race reviews. You were talking about next season... Sorensen plays TODAY so we are both happy!

Should we hope for relegation then? Come on he isn't seriously genuinely saying that's the side we should play. However Bayern is right to show we have plenty of decent young players of varying quality - outstanding like Collins, Campbell and Verlinden. Souttar and Sorrensson should be used next season for sure. That doesn't mean we have to play 11 kids however we should all understand that we can be confident in these players Edit: the other thing it does is allow the manager to concentrate on quality in the transfer market, we don't need to pad the squad out. No and what a strange take away from it.

One of the better players. Should keep his place. Agree, plenty to work with there, has all the attributes to play that role.....

I don't think he can play alongside Thompson, they're both too similar. He needs a proper defensive midfielder with him, or to carry the ball more.

His passing is usually very good, confident we will see that the more he plays. 6 out 10 today in a game where bony if our players did well

Thought his distribution was poor today, but hopefully that will improve as he gets more games under his belt.
His cross for the goal was sublime though.

No judgement from me yet. Tough game to be blooded in when there were a number of experienced players around him who were under performing.

He did alright, but not well enough for me to think we should be starting with him.

You can see what O’Neil means by his ‘impressed with his data’ comments.
Lad has gone from youth team environment to first team environment and, fitness wise, he doesn’t seem out of place. Might not sound a great deal but compare that with Campbell and it’s not easy.

Would like to see Powell and/or O-B further ahead of him in the middle.

He wasn't great but shouldn't be singled out from what was an average performance all round

Not a bad performance whatsoever and as somebody said further up, was probably the best of the midfield bunch.
But I couldn't really figure him out.
Does he sit or does he push forward?
First half he seemed eager to get forward yet second half he sat more. I always thought he was a sitter but he played better when he pushed further forward I thought.

He’s better deeper but they need to give him the ball.
