First time I went to Glastonbury was in 1981, there was 17,000 people there in total and it was £8 for a full weekend ticket. I bet nowadays you can get 17,000 just in the Peel tent alone and you'll be lucky to be able to buy a burger for £8! Have a great weekend, the weather forecast looks good!

I turned down Glastonbury tickets and something called glamping- all for free. Really never fancy festivals and not a big music fan so passed on it. Have a good time though and enjoy the sun.

Don't remember the Jazz Sluts but remember on the Friday night, Roy Harper and Ginger Baker having a fight in the middle of the stage because Roy Harper wouldn't get off ... peace and love man! 🤣 New Order played before Hawkwind who headlined on the Saturday night.

Belle and Sebastian at The Albert Hall, Manchester last night, sunlight shining through the stained glass windows for the support act what a venue. Hadn't realised it's owned by the same people who've got Gorilla and the Deaf Institute.
It made a nice change not to be seated at a B&S gig last night with everyone around dancing

Whiskey Myers at the O2 Ritz a few weeks ago sold out. Outstanding live act.
Got tickets for Iron Maiden in Portland in September.
Managed to get Rival Sons, Alter Bridge and Thunder Christmas show tickets. Looking to get tickets for Blackstar Riders and Halestorm this autumn.

Nice one, mate is going to see Maiden in New Jersey either late July or August. Wife wouldn’t let me go as still in trouble for doing couple of German shows last summer lol . Taking my daughter to Alter Bridge NEC gig but mainly to see Shinedown. Can’t abide Thunder, but going to Mike Monroe at the sugar mill in Nov.

Saw them with Kennedy Jones in 80s first .

The Who’s gig last night was a bit of a curate’s egg. Whilst the orchestra suited the Tommy and Quadraphenia sections to a certain extent, it overwhelmed the sound of the band. I didn’t think it worked and The Who on their own are more than good enough. It was the most disappointing Who gig I’ve seen, and many people supposedly left early. A shame really as Pete and Roge looked on top form too.

Didn’t know they’d used an orchestra, can’t imagine that’d work in a stadium, perhaps in the Albert Hall or similar ., I love Quadrophenia live and doesn’t need an orchestra to make it work.

Comments on social are largely positive, so I’m in a minority here. I’ll never go back to a large stadium for a gig I suspect either.
