Report Swedes aren't following many specific rules during the Corona crisis. But one thing they don't do anymore is this: They don't go to the laundry room! The board is empty. I could have placed the keylock for a laundry pass anywhere if I wanted to. But I do what everybody else is doing right now, I wash my clothes in the sink at home. Manually. Do you english people go to the laundry room now? Have you thought you may be the only one bucking the Govt advice and isolating, and the rest of the block is now........empty? <Psycho theme plays in the background.>

Ok. Sounds nice. What does it cost? Is it like £1 per machine? It makes me think of the 24 hour open gym here rather nearby. I wonder if they are open. They have no staff. People show a card to get in. The door is permanently open musik. I think it closes at about 9pm. I normally use it about every 2 weeks. Each load lasts 35 minutes and costs £4.00. I don't know if that's good value or not. I'd think £4 for a load is remarkable value, Chuffed. 35 minutes, though? All that beach rambling must be doing wonders for your stamina.

New Laundry time
If my injured me allows me to, I will do some laundry in the laundry room on July 3rd.
Strange thing: I live in a house noone normally moves for decades. But in a very short period of time, everyone(!) around my flat have moved; 6 new people. Odd, I wonder why.
So I suspect to meet several of these new people soon. Maybe in the laundry room.

Went there yesterday with a Ikea bag of clothes and sheets carried on my shoulder.
The machines, bench and floor were pretty clean. The tumble dryer was filled with half a sheep though. Must have come from the last 5-10 previous persons before me.
Noone came down there, noone in the backyard, noone in the corridor outside.
No drama whatsoever. Maybe the mysterious person in the laundry room was one of them who've moved recently?

Went back home from the low freq noise truck driver's 20 hours a day terrorising @#$&$@ inferno at my mother's place, even though my nerve impingement still needs resting.
I'd been home for just 15-20 mins, going through my mail, and then I realized I had to buy some food. When I opened my door I got a minor shock.😮 Someone had - during these rather few minutes - managed to vandalise outside my appartment door. Nasty brown stuff mainly on the floor. It looked exactly like dog shit!
But that's not the worst part! The vandal had managed to ruin my door lock. Obviously some of the shit was pushed inside. I couldn't lock the door before going to the store, the way I use to!
Anyway, then I went down to see if there were any laundry passes left at the laundry room this week. There weren't. Then I went to my local smaller Lidl store here (where there's not even room for any truck to park outside).
When I went back home after a little while, I cleaned outside my appartment door and found out it must have been chocolate ice cream. I managed (at least temporarily?) to fix my security lock, by locking it from the inside back and forth for a minute or so. Telling by the key, it seems some stuff had been put inside.
I'm amazed someone did this just after I went home, and before the store visit. But I saw a person standing on the opposite pavement when I came here yesterday, and when I starred back at him he ran away. It's common, but it might have been him. Someone has also but potteries on the pavement beside our entrance down there. Weird.
Life goes on.

Musik's Paddington Bear hard stare? That might make even a temperate Quietman lose his faculties.
I'm wondering just how you discovered it was chocolate ice cream & not doggy doo dah .... no, I think I'd best not go there ....
As for potteries on the pavement, I think you've been sleep walking again and it's you. Surely the chances of another Stokie in your building are too slim. Were they arranged to read "Scholes Out" by any chance? Or "MON is the best thing since sliced gravlax"?

I couldn't notice any smell 2 cm away from it. And more like soft ice cream, than anything else. The potteries have been there for some time. Noone collects them or throws them away. I moved them from our outdoor stairs to the pavement approx 2 weeks ago. I think it could be some Port Vale fan wanting to make a statement, that we're "empty" regarding our game plan or something.

Had rather a lot to wash today, since I've been injured for a long time, and still am.
However, it was one of the best cleanings I have experienced down there at 16.00 in the laundry room. Even the compartments of the washing machines were put wide open to dry, just like I use to do myself.
First two washing machines for 66 mins.
But when I was down after an hour to put the stuff in the drying room, there was a wild aggressive discussion going on in the appartment above somewhere. I put the washed stuff in the drying room and filled the two machines again with more clothes.
Then back again at 19.00. Someone had turned off the drying unit then! It has happened before. It could be the couple arguing above. I thought I heard a small child there as well. The drying room pass stops at 21.00, so they can't come down and turn it off!
Back again down there at 20.50.
What do I see then? Some person has started one machine on my laundry pass! I had no intention of using it, but it was on my laundry pass and I simply hate it. That machine was not ready until 25 mins AFTER the last allowed laundry pass today (my laundry pass), according to the display on the machine. Someone might have seen my key lock number on the board and makes a complaint to the landlord.😐 Even if it wasn't me. The idiot with the turned on the machine hadn't put his/her key lock on the board. No wonder, my key lock occupied that last laundry pass of course ...
Weirdest thing: someone had moved around one of my boxer shorts inside the drying room.
No dust, no insects, no sexy female underwear though.

Went down to the laundry room today at 3.55 p.m. to do some washing. It's been a couple of weeks since last time.
When I got there ALL of the machines were broken, according to notes on every one of them from the landlord's service team.
How is it possible? Why just before my time? It wasn't so when I moved my key lock recently.
Have to wait another week then. If it's fixed by then.

Anybody else finding an almost Alan Bennett like quality to these tales of mysterious domestic Swedish life? I enjoy them. In a few years time I’m going to write a novel based on Musiks laundry room traumas. With his blessing of course. Side note: I’ve notice that when I type Musiks on my phone it comes up as Muslims, if the worst happens please remember this😉

Might the machines be due some sort of service and they didn't want them running so the technicians could work on them? Or maybe you're getting new machines?
