Having not washed your skiddies for three weeks, you should at least have the place to yourself Musik. Make sure you open the window.

Went down to the laundry room today at 3.55 p.m. to do some washing. It's been a couple of weeks since last time. When I got there ALL of the machines were broken, according to notes on every one of them from the landlord's service team. How is it possible? Why just before my time? It wasn't so when I moved my key lock recently. Have to wait another week then. If it's fixed by then. Might the machines be due some sort of service and they didn't want them running so the technicians could work on them? Or maybe you're getting new machines? They can't run, since they're attached to a plinth. Just kidding ... They will try to repair them. If they fail, they'll try again. Getting new machines is no option for the landlord, they are just a few years. I do need a new stove though, to replace the one from the 80ies.

Anybody else finding an almost Alan Bennett like quality to these tales of mysterious domestic Swedish life? I enjoy them. In a few years time I’m going to write a novel based on Musiks laundry room traumas. With his blessing of course. Side note: I’ve notice that when I type Musiks on my phone it comes up as Muslims, if the worst happens please remember this😉 I'm no muslim and I don't even know any muslim either, but it might be the mobile that give you usual word suggestions as soon as you type, to speed things up?

We're at the peak of the Draconids meteor shower tonight
Draconids comes from Draco, which is latin for serpent or dragon.
Whilst people are watching the skies, baby alien serpents are beaming down to earth, called in by the machines in your laundry room which are actually signalling to them.
I'd wash your skiddies by hand this afternoon if I was you. You're going to need a few clean pairs when the alien dragons arrive.

Went down there today before the football games on tv to change my laundry pass on the board.
Even though the notes "OUT OF ORDER" from the Landlord's service men were still attached to the machines, someone had started the machines and machine number one was running filled w clothes.
Possibly someone made a joke and the machines weren't out of order at all this week just before my laundry pass on Thursday.
Perhaps it was the service man who had signed the attached papers, since he also told me three years ago he had fixed my bath tub, but he had not.
Of course, the person down there now doing the washing could be a dyslectic.
Anyway ... now I've moved my key lock.

Went down there at 4 pm.
Not to my surprise any longer ... the left washing machine was filled with some clothes, but it wasn't running ... I took my time, sorted out the different colours of my clothing. Waited, and waited some more. At 20 mins into my laundry pass a short brunette entered the laundry room with an ungainly mobile phone close to her ear. It made an echo, and I realized she had the speaker on and I pointed it out. She mumbled some sort of an apology for 2 seconds to me, took out her clothes quickly and went into the drying room still talking, looking at me from its doorway just two meters away from me.
But I wasn't in a rush, especially with my left hand in a splint.
Time went on, I pushed the button on the washing machine to the right and looked at the one at the left. I noticed she'd let the door to it wide open. And at the bottom of the rubber edge inside, what did I find?
Some pubic hair, probably her!
So I went: "And you were all done here, right?! Nothing forgotten?"
When I turned my head she still stood in the doorway, just pretending to be on the phone still - but I'm not so sure about that.
Then, after I had removed the old washing powder in the first machine's compartment as well - I really dislike that - I also took away that black pubic hairs of hers.
She stood and smiled, while I was about to turn my jeans inside out for the left machine. She pretended to have forgotten her keys on the left washing machine, I noticed it when I was about to put my bag on top of it. For a second I thought to make a joke and hide them for just a minute, but instead I put them on top of machine number two instead.
She came up to me and I saw a little bit of disappointment in her eye when she found the keys.
She said she appreciated the understanding and that she will back down there again, in time for me. She possibly meant before I was thinking about using the drying room. She left that door wide open btw. Maybe it's HER who does that all the time?!
After she'd went I noticed she had a attached a letter on the floor to the left of the left washing machine, a bit closer to the door: the letter "M".
What did that mean? That she is juicy?

But that's not all for today, and just so I won't forget ...
The key locks on the board for tomorrow are all the new tenants here! Coincidence or on purpose? The one under me, the one avove me and the one to the right of me. All new. All tomorrow. 🤔
What's more. When I went to buy some bread after the laundry room pubic hair adventure, two odd things happened: A lady came back into the store complaining about the receipt. "What's wrong?", the cashier said. "Too much money taken!", the customer replied. Odd #1: "There's nothing I can do if you have used a card to pay with", the cashier answered.
"But I can give some money to Africa as compensation for you!", she continued.
Odd #2: "I hate them. They're evil."
Soon I will go down to the laundry room again ...

Went down there 100 mins ago, to find out someone else did use both the washing machines - on MY laundry pass. Again.
How do they know I wasn't just upstairs to collect some more clothing to wash - on MY laundry pass.
Maybe I should put up a note about it. Edith: Just got another idea: next time I will put up a note to say it's ok for them to humiliate me and get access to the machines on MY laundry pass, since I'm not going down there again.
I don't know who it was. If it was her again. Went back up to see Chelsea vs Sevilla. Still on, a quarter to go.

This is the best thread on the board. Sweden's very own Alan Bennett. I particularly enjoyed the description of the 'ungainly' mobile phone.
I think you may be in there, musik, with the Brunette.
Updates in due course, please.

I'm going down there, in twelve hours from now, since I think I will wake up for it in time.
Met a certain neighbour for the first time for a year at least. For some reason he acted a bit odd. More on that soon perhaps. And about my broken vaccum cleaner.
Now sleep ... 😴

Not much to tell about the laundry today (yet). I was down there, filled the two machines and when they were ready a while ago I took it all out and went to the drying room.
It was AGAIN very very clean in the laundry room and the drying room. That's good, but I wonder why, have I got a new key lock following me on the board now? When I looked at the board to find out who it was at 6.05 p.m the key lock was removed though.
And there was another brunette in the yard by her bike in the dark (really dark outdoors at 6 p.m. here now in November). Apparently she was very happy to see me, big smile, many whiteish teeth, big eyes. I've never seen her before.
Going down to collect my stuff in a couple of hours.

I plan to go down there again in less than two weeks, even thought I caught a strange sort of dry cough last time, which bothered me during 2-3 nights after my last visit.

I'm going down there this afternoon again (if "after noon" means after 12 a.m., since we were thaught "noon" is 12 o'clock).
It would be preferable to spend less time in the drying room, which gave me a dry cough for 2-3 days last time. Yesterday I read the Corona virus likes dry places. I'm pretty sure everyone of us have had at least some corona virus particle/s landed on us at some point. But it's preferable not to let them move in.

Spent less time in the dry drying room. 85% of the clothing were dry. Threw away an empty washing liquid plastic bottle.
The most exciting thing was I met a lady in the stairway. I hardly ever meet her, but each time I have met her so far I've got a Jehova's Witnesses broschure the next morning in my mail.

Is it possible to furnish this tremendous story with maybe a couple of photos Muso? Don’t want to put you out (or ruin people’s own imagination about what the laundry room looks like etc) but I’d like to see. :-)

Bad things happened in December but I managed to do the laundry on December 18th, to get me clean sheets and pillow cases, when nothing happened at all as far as I remember and now again on January 8th when almost nothing happened again.
The laundry room nowadays is always extremely clean and in order when I arrive. I don't know why, but perhaps all 3-4 new tennants have heard some rumour.
After 3 hours or so I heard some noise outside, indoors from the corridor. When I left it was this man standing there next to the entrance door to the street looking at his mobile phone. Half of the corridor was filled mostly w lots of electronic equipment like video, game consoles, radio but some other stuff as well. Nothing was packed in larger brown boxes as they usually are. It all just was placed on the floor. Like it was done in a rush. My first thought was he had been thrown out by her lady. Looked middle aged, in my world 45-50.
That's about it. At the end of January next time.
🙂
/still in rehabilitation, but Laura Hamilton on TV makes me smile "down boy! down!"

Hmmm, this has taken a turn for the Scandi-noir, hasn't it.
"Bad things" happening in December and tenants hearing of "rumours"...
Nicely set up for the next instalment of "The Laundry Room"...
