Always had a soft spot for GCam* Another one who seemed to get an undue amount of stick. He was versatile and resilient and didn’t shirk from performing whatever role he was asked. However, he was injury prone, always likely to give away penalties and not getting any younger. Players like Geoff may have been why that too 6 Premier League place eluded us but he was not the reason we got relegated. Bon voyage, GC

Geoff was excellent for us when we needed him. I always felt more comfortable with him in a deep lying midfield position where his athletism was utilised.
Seen some derogatory comments about him on here which surprises me for a man and player who never caused any problems, played wherever and whenever he was asked to and seemed like a proper professional.
All the best Geoff.

Geoff has been an excellent servant to this club, very professional in every way. Despite his age and injuries are catching up with him so the time to offload might be right. Good luck Geoff!

Think you can want Joe Allen dropped and still think he's in a different class entirely to Geoff Cameron.

It appears someone has beaten me to it already. I have recently moved to Shepherd’s Bush about a 1 minute walk away from loftus road, last night I decided to go and watch my new local side. Cameron as already pointed out was awesome in midfield. Sat, did the basics well, dominated in the air and only misplaced one pass all night. He looked a considerable upgrade on joe Allen and speaking to qpr fans around me they seemed to rate him. Other things I observed last night.
Empty seats, if you think we have issues the 12k attendance at qpr last night (2000 of that must be Millwall ) is truly poor showing.
Qpr’s new player aged 19 either Neze or eze was head and shoulders above everyone on the pitch. He had some serious swagger. One to watch.
And last of all it’s well documented but Millwall fans truly are scum. The liner didn’t give a decision Down on the near side infront of me. They then proceeded to coin him and launch beer bottles for the rest of the game. A 50p piece honestly missed him by millimitres. The appallingly light numbered qpr stewards did fuck all and it appeared there was no police presence as they were too concerned lining the streets pre and post match.
I have to admit it was more exciting than anything I’ve watched from us in a while. There was a desire to pass move and go at people with pace. Also based on last night millwall to go down may not be the worst outside bet.

I think Geoff's ability was fairly well established. Not the best footballer, but a solid option. The problem for several years has been his fitness. No doubt he will now have a great season for QPR with few issues, after spending the last 2 with constant injury issues. That's just luck of the draw I guess.

He did play well last night. Some players just need game time. Sadly injuries and a couple of complete buffoons managing us worked against him. Watch him have a cracking season for QPR. Oh hang on they have a complete Buffoon as manager !

I just don't think he can hack all the other stuff that comes with being a manager and eventually gets found out which he has with almost every job he's had where he's been the number 1.
