What's going on with him? Seems to be no interest in anyone signing him but thought as a natural athlete and so versatile he would be a player naturally suited to this division. I can't even recall Rowett mentioning him?

Needs to return to the MLS ideally, he shirks out of heading the ball now which is understandable given his concussion issues, which means in an English league he’s essentially redundant.

Yes he was concussed but so have others been and they've all played on. Unless there's a serious problem we don't know about, like with Wilko, he should play too. If he can't - again provided he's not seriously ill - he should see a sports psychologist, paid by the club. But if he's seriously ill he should not be shown the door/be for sale, he should be fully supported.

GCam has just updated his LinkedIn and removed his reference to playing for Stoke.
That’s that then.

He's looked worn down and broken the last few times he's played.

G cam used to be a real utility go to player for stoke. Since his ankle injury he looks as though he is still trying to get up to scratch, then he had his concussion injury which leaves him looking very shaky. His performance at West ham was absolutely dreadful especially in such an important game.
I don't think that reliability is there any more, time to say thank you for service gcam but you need to move on.

Another daft contract extension making life hard for us

Bit of an odd move that. Moving to a basket case club and playing for Tufty?
You weird, weird man Cameron.

Sounds like he's only a back-up target even for QPR. www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/qpr-prioritising-tommy-elphick-loan-deal-from-aston-villa-before-transfer-deadline-passes-a3923361.htmlQPR are prioritising the season-long loan sign of Aston Villa centre-half Tommy Elphick before Friday’s transfer deadline.
Elphick, 30, was Bournemouth’s captain when they won the Championship in 2015.
He has made just 31 appearances for Villa since joining in 2016 and spent the second half of last season on loan at Reading.
QPR have also held talks about the loan signing Stoke City defender Geoff Cameron, although it is understood Elphick is their main target.
Former Tottenham defender Sebastian Bassong, a free agent, is continuing to train with the club but they are unlikely to sign him unless other options fall through.

We have three senior centre halves, one with a chronic bad back, one who seems to get injured a lot for such a big, fit guy in his mid-20s, and one a 34 year old with a suspect temperament. Now is surely to the time to welcome Geoff back into the fold?

Not so sure mate, I like Geoff playing defensive mid and at fullback but I think he's horrendous when he plays as a central defender, always looks all over the place. Not just for us either, looks terrible when he plays there for USA. Think Souttar will get playing time this season as the 4th option. Wouldn't surprise me if we bought in a free agent centre half for a year as cover. Huth or James Collins maybe.

A fully fit Huth would make sense as a free agent signing - knows the club, many of the players and is a good character. I am still not sure what Geoff has done to be ostracised, though. He has been a good servant for a number of years.

Might be becuase he struggled last year when he played and he is pretty injury prone. It seems to me that Clucas may have replaced him as the "utility" player in the team.

soccer.nbcsports.com/2018/08/30/geoff-cameron-to-complete-qpr-move/Pro Soccer Talk understands that U.S. national team star Geoff Cameron is close to sealing a loan move to Queens Park Rangers in England’s second-tier. With the summer transfer window for clubs outside of the Premier League in England closing this Friday, Aug. 31, the Stoke defender has been mulling over plenty of options in recent weeks. Cameron, 33, is travelling to London on Thursday for a medical and will sign at QPR until January on loan. Per a source, it is believed Cameron will be able to leave Stoke permanently in January if a deal is arranged between now and then. Teams from Major League Soccer, Spain and elsewhere in Europe remain interested in Cameron but a loan move for the next few months is the best situation for him to play regularly.
